Cold Standing: You gain resistance 5 to cold damage.
Frosty Fighter: Your attacks cause cold damage when your'e bloodied, to your choice.
Cold Striker: You can use the Cold Stirke power as an encounter power.

Attack: Dexterity +2 Vs. Reflex
Hit: 1d8 + Dexterity modifier cold damage, and the target is slowed until the end of your next turn.
Damage rises to 2d8 + Dexterity modifier in level 11 and to 3d8 + Dexterity modifier in level 21.

Rulkores come from faraway mountains, where cold rules. They evolved from halflings into a race that stands the chill and uses it to empower itself.

Play a Rulkore if you want...

  • To be able to stand cold easily.
  • To be small and friendly.
  • To be a member of a race that favors the Rogue, Ranger and Wizard classes.

Physical Qualities[edit]

The Rulkores are similiar to Halflings by many means- they are low, quick and nice. The Rulkore possess something the Halflings don't- they stand cold.

Playing a Rulkore[edit]

Rulkores are free people- they live in large cities in their faraway mountains, with no need for adventures- though some Rulkore get the need to go on a great adventure or amazing quest.

The adventuring Rulkores befriend an existing adventuring party, not creatin one of teir own- usually. Sometimes, young Rulkores call some of their friends- be it Dwarves, Halflings, or even other Rulkores, and go together on an adventure.

Rulkore Characteristics: Friendly, Quick, Bold, Resistant.

Male Names: Kulvit, Woldain, Kforin, Lychaim, Kerakh

Female Names: Karli, Karchan, Harla, Izbur, Balhari

Rulkore Adventurers[edit]

Three sample Rulkore adventurers are described below.

Kiruham is a Rulkore Wizard. He was born in the mountain of Rahaluk to a well-known mayor family. His parents were against adventuring, not speaking of learning arcana. One day his curiosity filled him and he left to the secret altar of Corellon, where the old priest teached him arcana. He eventually became a Wizard, and his parents sent him away to adventures, where he met an adventuring party and joined them on a quest.

Omyask is a Rulkore Rogue. He was a regular Rulkore until a clan of Gnolls attacked his village and killed everyone except him- as he hid perfectly in the shadows. He ran away into a Halfling village, where he told an old Halfling his story. The halfling was surprised from his ability to stand in the cold and shadows, so he sent him to another Halfling who helped him become a rogue. He called his Halfling friends and together they have gone on an adventure.

Palnadria is a Rulkore Ranger. She was a known soldier of a large Rulkore city. One day, she was sent into the cold forest to kill a Treant. On her way she met a bunch of Dwarves and Humans who lost their way. They were surprised by her navigation ability and asked her to join them as a ranger. Together they have beaten the Treant and have gone on many quests since, becoming the most known adventurers in their land.
