Repulsive Ringing
Evocation [Sonic]
Level: Cleric 6
Components: V, DF
Casting time: 1 standard action
Range: 15 ft.
Area: 15-ft.-radius burst, centered on you
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Fortitude partial, and special (see text)
Spell Resistance: Yes

You make a desperate plea for one last bit of divine strength. Your symbol glows with an unbearable light, and a disruptive horn-like tone causes the air around you to ripple in expanding waves, sending loose objects flying and enemies staggering back as their flesh comes dangerously close to vibrating off their body.

All creatures in the area except you suffer three effects:

  • First, they take 1d6 nonlethal sonic damage per two caster levels (maximum 10d6) (no save).
  • Second, they must make a Strength check (DC 10 + spell level + caster's relevant ability bonus) or be pushed 10 feet directly away from you, as if they were bull rushed. They use the same size- and stability-based modifiers to their Strength check as they would against being bull rushed.
  • Third, they are dazed for 1 round (Fortitude negates).

A creature grappling you when you cast this spell instead takes 1d10 nonlethal sonic damage per two caster levels (maximum 10d10), loses its grapple if it fails the Strength check against being pushed, and takes a -4 penalty on both its Fortitude save and Strength check.

The spell also pushes away loose objects up to Small size by up to 10 feet.
