Reaper Domain (5e Subclass)
Reaper Domain[edit]
<Cleric> Subclass
Clerics who follow deities of death, the afterlife, and the cycle of life and death take on the mantle of balance between life and the grave. These clerics ensure the peaceful passage of souls to their final rest and wield divine power to return undead to their rightful plane. Whether serving a god of judgment, fate, or transition, reapers maintain equilibrium and confront the forces that disturb it.

3rd | Magic Weapon, Ray of Enfeeblement |
5th | Elemental Weapon, Spirit Guardians |

Bonus Proficiencies[edit]
When you choose this domain at 1st level, you gain proficiency with martial weapons and smith's tools.
Reaper’s Scythe[edit]
At 1st level, you can create a magical weapon that reflects your connection to death. At the end of a long rest, choose a weapon you are proficient with. Until the end of your next long rest, or until you die, the weapon gains the following benefits:
- It acts as a spellcasting focus for your cleric spells.
- It adds your Wisdom modifier to the attack roll and damage roll when you hit with it.
- If the weapon is more than 30 feet from you, it dissipates and is unusable until your next long rest.
Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
Channel Divinity: Soul Quake[edit]
Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to send out a wave of spiritual energy. As an action, you release a shockwave that extends 60 feet from you. Enemies within this range must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be stunned for 1 minute and take 3d6 psychic damage. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Scythe Adept[edit]
At 2nd level, you have become highly skilled with your Reaper’s Scythe. You can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. This feature can be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and all expended uses are regained after finishing a short or long rest.
Judgment Magnitude[edit]
Starting at 6th level, your mastery over death grants you the following benefits:
- You gain resistance to necrotic damage.
- You can increase the reach of your Reaper’s Scythe by 5 feet. At 10th level, this reach increases to 10 feet.
Reaper Strike[edit]
At 8th level, you can channel the essence of souls into your weapon strikes. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with your Reaper’s Scythe, you can deal an extra 1d8 radiant damage to the target. When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.
Unrelenting Collector[edit]
At 17th level, you gain the following benefits:
- When you take the Attack action with your Reaper’s Scythe, you can cast a cantrip or a spell with a casting time of 1 action, 1 bonus action, or 1 reaction, without expending a spell slot.
- If you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with your Reaper’s Scythe, you gain 2d4 temporary hit points for 1 minute.
