Tiefling Subrace[edit]

You carry the legacy of the strange bestial fiends known as Rakshasa, and share both their bestial traits and manipulative magics. You likely have traits like orange and black fur and feline eyes of a tiger, the scales of a crocodile, bug eyes and antennae of a mantis, or other traits from predatory animals that your fiendish ancestors resemble. Most common of all among tieflings with the blood of Rakshasa, are their odd backwards hands.

Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 1.
Legacy of Ravanna. You know the mage hand cantrip. Once you reach 3rd level, you can cast the disguise self spell once. Once you reach 5th level, you can cast the detect thoughts spell once. You must finish a long rest to cast one of these spells again with this trait. Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells when you cast them with this trait (choose when you select this race).
Backwards Claws. You can use your claws to make unarmed strikes. When you hit with them, the strike deals 1d6 + your Strength modifier slashing damage, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
