Larger than life mechanical beasts with intimidating "natural" assets.
Creating a Rahi[edit]
This is an inherited template that can be applied to dragons and non-sapient creatures. This template may only be applied during the creature's creation.
Size and Type[edit]
The base creature's size category becomes that of its adult age category, if the creature's age effects their size, and then increases by +1 size category more. If the base creature would not change size as it ages, it instead gains 2 size categories. The creature's type becomes construct, which its statistics should be properly recalculated to represent.
Hit Dice[edit]
The base creature's racial HD all become d10.
Speed[edit]
The base creature's speed improves according to it's size.
Armor Class[edit]
+2 natural armor.
Attack[edit]
Rahi retain their base creature's proficiencies and natural weapons.
Full Attack[edit]
Rahi retain their base creature's normal full attack.
Special Attacks[edit]
Rahi retain their base creature's special attacks, and gains a natural weapon in the form of a slam attack of the appropriate size category.
Special Qualities[edit]
Rahi retains their base creature's proficiencies and natural weapons, and gain the following:
- Auto Heal (Ex): The base creature's natural healing is replaced by this. Rahi regain 1 hp per hour.
- Maintainable Body (Ex): Rahi age a full category when they do not receive proper maintenance for a full week. Being fully healed counts as proper maintenance. Spells from the Healing school have 1/4th effectiveness on rahi. Because its body is a mass of mostly non-living matter, a Rahi is hard to destroy. It gains bonus hit points based on size. Rahi do not sleep but can be affected by sleep effects. Rahi are not immune to poison, paralysis, stunning, or disease.
Addition HP by Size: Small: +10, Medium: +20, Large: +30, Huge: +40, Gargantuan: +60, Colossal: +80
- Immunities (Ex): Rahi are not subject to critical hits or nonlethal damage, and are not at risk of death from massive damage, but die at 0 hp. Immunity to any effect that requires a Fortitude save (unless the effect also works on objects, or is harmless). Cannot be raised or resurrected. Immune to death effects, and necromancy effects.
- Biological Components (Ex): Though constructs, Rahi have the minimal biological functions listed below:
- Digestive Tract: Rahi eat by absorbing the nutrients of organic mater to sustain themselves. This leaves whatever they absorbed energy from useless as sustenance. This cannot cause any meaningful damage.
- Lungs: Rahi must breathe air if their base creature does not breathe.
Abilities[edit]
Rahi retain their base creature's ability scores, but also raise their intelligence score to 4 if it was not already 4 or above. Though this technically causes them to become intelligent creatures, they still act mainly on instinct and cannot speak or write language if they did not have the ability previously. This makes them vulnerable to mind-affecting effects (charms, compulsions, phantasms, patterns, and morale effects).
Skills[edit]
Rahi retain their base creature's skill bonuses, and gain +4 survival.
Feats[edit]
Rahi retain their base creature's feats.
Environment[edit]
Rahi retain their base creature's environment, unless the size adjustment would make it unlivable.
Organization[edit]
Rahi retain their base creature's organization.
Challenge Rating[edit]
The base creature gains +3 to it's CR.
Treasure[edit]
Rahi retain their base creature's treasure.
Alignment[edit]
Rahi retain their base creature's alignment. However, bugs, crustaceans, and snakes tend towards evil.
Advancement[edit]
Rahi advance by racial HD, increasing statistics as appropriate.
Level Adjustment[edit]
LA — (But if ya wanna be crazy like a brakas, +4)
