Races (Baronan Supplement)

Race Rules[edit]

As the continents in Baronan are very different, the races in them are very different also. Elves from one continent might be completely different from elves from another. To combat this, I have created alternate sub race options for those without sub races. As half-orcs, half-elves and humans are diverse anyway, so they don’t need subraces. Tieflings and Dragonborn are very rare in Baronan, so they don’t need subraces either.

Humans[edit]

Humans are the most common civilised race in all of Baronan. They are found everywhere in Baronan, although they are few in Illadia. They use their skill and flexibility to make up for their lack of magic. They are found in all kinds of communities, from almost entirely human communities, to communities where very few humans are found, and apart from the non-elf hating Dystran community, and the underdark, they are welcomed.

Elves[edit]

Elves are very common in Baronan, especially in forest communities. They are found in greatest numbers in the southern forest of Dorga, the forests of Dystra, and the Island of Life in Illadia. They tend to think themselves above other races, but most elves get along fine with humans. There are some communities in Dystra who highly dislike other races, and will kill other races on sight, and drow (dark elves) in the underdark both show the extremes to which this pride can become.

Illadian Elves[edit]

These elves revel in the magic of Illadia, truly igniting their fey ancestry, giving them strong natural magic. These elves can be more prideful than other elves, especially against non-magical creatures like humans.
