Quenya (5e Subrace)

The quenya elves were so named for blood. Their magics dabbled in something typically frowned upon, which was hemomancy. They usually develop a pale visage due to the nature of their work. Other elves do not regard their practices very highly, leading to many of them feeling like outcasts. The quenya have the ability to harden their blood for protective purposes. Those who go too far down this path without caution have a chance of becoming something actually vampiric.
Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 1.
Hard Blood. As a bonus action, you can harden the blood in your body, gaining a +1 bonus to your AC until the end of your next turn. You can use this trait a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all uses at the end of a long rest.
Hemomancer. Whenever you make an Intelligence (Arcana) check related to blood, you are considered proficient in the Arcana skill and add double your proficiency bonus to the check, instead of your normal proficiency bonus.
