Spell Fails[edit]

The spell fails at rolls of 73-75, causing no usefull effect. However, the subject is still effected by the spell. In this case, the subject gains a bonus in non-usefull skills, such as annoyance, eating, sleeping, door opening, or shoe-polishing. At the DM's rule, the target may attempt to make use of this, but generally speaking, being better at one of these such skills does not provide any benifit.

Rolling Multiple Times[edit]

When rolling multiple times, the caster usually selects which of the rolls counts, however, on a roll of 86-90, the spell secretly backfires, providing a penalty instead of a bonus. It is intended that the player does not know about the backfire untill he has already selected the skill, so they do not intentionally choose the least impacting one. On a roll of 100, the caster may choose any three skills, but the strain causes 1d4 intelegence damage to both the target and the caster at the ending of the spell. If the target is the caster, apply 2d4. Alternatively, the caster may choose to roll again, ignoring 100s. If the same skill comes up twice, the bonus stacks.

Material Component[edit]

A pinch of nosehair from a man who has made a life changing discovery after at least three months of research, dipped in sap from a dryad.

Focus[edit]

A small golden knife, which is used to spread the nosehairs on the target. Cost of 2 gp.
