The purple shroom toads are born bare of mushrooms, their skin often shades of brown, green and grey. However, their overconsumption of the exotic fungi that grow within the forest causes them to become infected by the fungi. Thus, they develop a more noticeable appearance with purple fungi growing within their skin. Eventually, within the later years of a shroom toad's life, they become fully consumed by the fungi and become a walking disaster. Every mindless step they take sakes the earth and spreads the spores to grow new fungi in a never-ending cycle of life. |
