Puppet (5e Race)

Physical Description[edit]
A puppet comes in many different designs all depending on the maker's choice. Most puppets are made of wood, cloth, and other fabrics. Most puppets are brought to life via magic, or haunting. Typically are small enough to fit in a bag. Usually the eyes of a puppet glow a specific color when the puppet chooses to interact, move, see, hear, or use magic. A puppet is usually indistinguishable from a regular puppet and is very hard to distinguish. Usually they then to be old puppets but they do not need to be.
History[edit]
Lots of puppets come from all different parts of the land. Some made by their creators to keep them company, others made by evil beings to reek havoc on everything, and some just choosing to haunt the puppet. It is likely it was first inspired by golem themselves.
Puppet Traits[edit]
You're a wooden, cloth, or fabric puppet crafted by hand and then infused with magic.
Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 2.
Age. As long as you don't get killed, you are likely to live very long as you can't die of old age.

Size. Type. you're either humanoid or fey, choose when you pick this race
Speed.
Darkvision". You can see in dim light as if it were bright within 60 feet of you.
Disruptive Magic. You have disadvantage on any saving throws against psychic damage
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice.
Hand Puppet[edit]
Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 1.
Size. Your size is small.
Speed. Your base flying speed is 35 feet but only up to 20 feet above the ground and a crawl speed of 40.
Hand Steal. You may choose to attach yourself to the closest medium or larger hand if they have one and isn't wielding a weapon. While doing this the creature you are attached to can't wield a weapon with that hand. You also will move with the creature until you decide to detach or the creature takes you off with an athletics check.
Flamable. Enemies have advantage when using fire attack against you.
Marionette[edit]
Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 1.
Size. Your size is tiny or small.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Fey resilience. You have advantage on saving throws against or to end the charmed condition on yourself
Puppet Magic. you can choose 1 cantrip from the wizard spell list. You can add this cantrip to your spell list. You can also choose 2 1st level spells from any spell list. You can cast these spells 1 time/day and your spellcasting ability for these spells is the same as what list the spell is from : for example, if you take hex, which is a warlock spell, your spellcasting ability for it is charisma.
Unhinged. As a bonus action, you can unhinge 1 of your arms and take it in the other hand. While holding your arm you get 5 feet extra range, but you can't use 2-handed weapons or cast spells that need your both hands.
Mask of the wild. You can attempt to hide even when you are only lightly obscured by foliage, heavy rain, falling snow, mist, and other natural phenomena.
Rod Puppet[edit]
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 1.
Size. Your size is small or medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Rod Strike. Any unarmed attack may add an additional damage up to half your level rounded down.
Passive Effect. When striking unarmed and you have an effect you must roll a 1d20, on a 20 you inflict the same effect onto the opponent.
