Innate Spellcasting. The pytrantodon's innate spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 18). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

At will: thunderous smite, thunderwave
5/day each: gust of wind, warding wind, wind wall
3/day each: control winds, elemental bane, freedom of movement
1/day: reverse gravity

Flyby. The ptyrantodon doesn't provoke an opportunity attack when it flies out of an enemy's reach.

Three Drives. While the ptyrantodon has 203 or fewer hit points, increase the number of legendary actions it can take to 2. While the ptyrantodon has 102 or fewer hit points, increase the number of legendary actions it can take to 3 instead.

Three Heads. The ptyrantodon has advantage and can't gain disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks and on saving throws against being blinded, charmed, deafened, frightened, stunned, and knocked unconscious.

Three Minds. The ptyrantodon can concentrate on up to three spells at once. When the ptyrantodon fails a concentration saving throw while concentrating on more than one spell, it only loses concentration on one spell of the DM's choice.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The ptyrantodon makes three beak attacks.

Beak. Melee Weapon Attack: +15 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (2d8 + 9) piercing damage and 9 (2d8) thunder damage. When this attack scores a critical hit against a Large or smaller creature, it is knocked prone.

Feeding Frenzy (Recharge 6). The ptyrantodon targets a creature missing two-thirds or more of its hit points that it can see within 60 feet of it. It moves to an unoccupied space within 10 feet of the creature and makes nine beak attacks against it. All of these attacks are made with disadvantage. The target is also frightened until the start of the ptyrantodon's next turn. This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks.

LEGENDARY ACTIONS

The ptyrantodon can take 1 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The ptyrantodon regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Beak. The ptyrantodon makes a beak attack.
Spell. The ptyrantodon casts a spell.
Wing Attack (Costs 2 Actions). The ptyrantodon beats its wings. Each creature within 15 feet of it must succeed on a DC 23 Dexterity saving throw or take 16 (3d4 + 9) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. The ptyrantodon can then fly up to half its flying speed.

A rare breed of pteranodons bred by the storm giants of old, originally as pets, later as mounts, and finally as siege beasts, by imbuing their flesh with the power of elemental air. Set loose upon the world during the giants' troubles, most existing ptyrantodons in the world tend to stick around coastal areas near other dinosaurs to feed on fish and sea mammals, even whales when they surface, though they will never pass up a free land-based meal if they are feeling hungry. This makes them a massive menace to any coastal communities they encounter. Such a village's only defense is to feed the ptyrantodon with hauls and stores of fish until it gets bored and flies off, else it will start eating the humanoids. Only the most experienced of adventurers should ever try forcing a ptyrantodon to leave with force, else they are likely volunteering for its diet as few are prepared for the triple threat of might, magic, and mucus.
Some storm giants particularly skilled in Animal Handling have managed to tame a ptyrantodon to ride as a flying mount instead of the more common rocs. Most that try end up eaten though.
