Protective Polish: This polish protects your equipment from corrosion

Protective polish can be applied to any item. Once completely coated, the item absorbs the polish so that there is no tactile evidence of it, although the item takes on a slightly bluish tint.

The polish has four charges. Whenever the item has to make a save against corrosive effects, such as rust or acid, the save automatically succeeds, and one charge is spent. Once all four charges are spent, the bluish tint fades and the item is no longer protected.

Charges do not stack, so adding two coatings still only provides four charges, although polishing an item with only one charge remaining will renew the protection to four full charges.
