Pnévma[edit]

"I was walking through the caverns when I saw it, the Pnévma, it walked towards me, divine light casting shadows upon the dirty cave walls and it spoke to me. It told me of the heavens and of hell, and of my destiny. The thing forbade me to go and never come back, and so I did, I ran from that cave, scared, but also in awe of it. Slackjawed and amazed I returned home, wondering in my head, when will I ever see something like that again?"

Physical Description[edit]

The Pnévma look like regular humans except entirely made out of light. They are corporeal, however, the light is solid, they do not have any organs, but they do have a face, it is just hard to distinguish. They are beings literally made from the light of the heavens.

History[edit]

The Pnévma were created long ago, they do not know how they came into existence on the material plane, but experts say that it is the god's power leaking through into the material plane. They say that the god's divine energy gathers and then forms a Pnévma. The only Pnévma to be created so far are of a celestial nature, and all have been good so far. They have tried to fit into the world, however, every race rejects them and casts them out, afraid that they will bring heavenly destruction. It was for this reason that the Pnévma were forced to hide in the caves of the world, scurrying around in the dark, where their divine light cannot be seen.

Society[edit]

Pnévma live by themselves most of the time, they are a rare creature, to begin with, but in the few instances where Pnévma have met up, they get along splendidly. They are peaceful by nature, and nomadic as well. They never stay in one place for too long, afraid that their little hiding places will be seen and they will be pushed away by others.

Pnévma Names[edit]

Pnévma often don't name themselves, they will receive names from the people that find them, or meet them. They do not care for names too much, but some examples of names that might be given to a Pnévma are listed here.

Male: Pathiel, Israfel, Bob, Sontar, Matet, Brosta

Female: Kibida, Sally, Cassiel, Anahel, Syndra
