Pistolero[edit]

Fighter Subclass

The Pistolero is a Fighter subclass that specializes in the use of one-handed firearms for precision and style on the battlefield.

    • Firearm Proficiency (3rd Level)

Starting at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with pistolero firearms. This proficiency allows you to add your proficiency bonus to attack rolls made with pistolero firearms. You are unable to use non-pistolero firearms.

    • Follow Up (3rd Level)

Starting at 3rd level, you gain the ability to follow up on your attacks. When dual-wielding pistols, if you successfully hit a target with an attack, you may make a Sleight of Hand check against the target's Armor Class. If the check succeeds, you deal an additional damage die. This additional damage die is doubled on a critical hit. This feature may be used once per attack action.

    • Way of the Pistolero (3rd Level)

At 3rd level, you learn to incorporate style into your combat techniques.

    • Style Points (3rd Level): You gain a number of Style Points equal to your Dexterity modifier. You regain these points on a long rest. Additionally, whenever you land the final blow on an enemy, you regain 1 Style Point, but you cannot exceed the maximum number of Style Points equal to your Dexterity modifier.

As a bonus action, you can spend a Style Point to enter one of the following styles:

    • The Trickster Style: Through misdirection, you disorient your enemies, gaining a +2 bonus to your attack rolls against a specific target. Additionally, when an enemy is targeted by an attack, you can expend 1 Style Point as a reaction to attempt a feint. Make a Sleight of Hand check against the target's passive Perception. On a success, the attacker gains advantage on the attack.
    • The Acrobat Style: You possess remarkable agility, allowing you to ignore 5 feet of difficult terrain per turn and granting you a +2 temporary bonus to your Armor Class. Additionally, when you are hit by an attack, you can expend one Style Point as a reaction to reduce the damage taken by half.
    • The Bullseye Style: Your precision in hitting targets is unparalleled. Your attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 18, 19, or 20. Furthermore, when you score a critical hit, you can expend 1 Style Point as a reaction to automatically succeed on your Follow Up attack.
