Rogue Archetype

In memory of a world tainted by one terrible person, I’ve taken my personal favorite feature of that world and fixed some of the wording to balance the subclass and let it be used in worlds without that poor taste in your mouth.

“My lord I am no one, but I started even less. Every step that I have taken has shown me more of the world before and I believe we play an integral part of the world that will come after.“ - Moe Kowbull; Shaper, no, Pirate.

Bonus Proficiencies

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with the navigators tools and cartographers tools. (Optional rule) You also learn to be proficient in the use of Vehicles(water).

Plunder and Thunder

When you choose this archetype 3rd level, as a bonus action, you can mark an enemy for death. For 1 minute, once per turn you can deal sneak attack damage to that creature regardless of circumstances on a successful attack.

If this creature is defeated within the minute of this ability, you gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls for the next minute. You can use this ability multiple times in the same combat encounter and the bonus stacks.

In addition, you have advantage on your Intelligence (Investigation) checks made to loot bodies of creatures marked by your Plunder and Thunder ability.

One More Drink!

Beginning at 9th level, you become an adept at drinking in combat. You can consume potions as a bonus action (this doesn't apply to oils).

In addition, while wielding a potion, a tankard of ale, wine, mead, grog, or something similar, you can treat the item as a shield, gaining a +2 to AC. If the attack misses when you do so, the object used as a shield is hit by the attack.

Edge of the World

At 13th level, you have seen so much, and now this knowledge shows you the sea’s greatest secrets. You have advantage on your saving throws against the charmed and frightened condition.

In addition, while on open sea, navigable rivers and coastal areas, you can't become lost except by magical means, and have advantage on any checks with the Cartographer's Kit, Vehicles (Water), Wisdom (Survival) and Intelligence (Nature).

Blasted and Blasting

Starting at 17th level, whenever you are hit by an attack with a weapon, you can use your reaction to make an attack against your attacker, if it is within reach or range.

In addition, whenever you use your Uncanny Dodge to reduce the damage taken by a melee weapon attack made by a creature within feet of you, you can cause damage to the attacker equal to your damage taken. The damage type is the same as the weapon you are wielding. You must be wielding a melee weapon with the finesse property to benefit from this reaction.
