Path of the Wildwood[edit]
Barbarian Subclass
Protectors of sacred hollows, vigilantes against woodland interlopers, or even a guardian to a sapling Treant. All who follow the path of the Wildwood share a strong devotion to the wilds and will bring down nature's wrath to those which would harm it.
- Dweller of the Grove
When you follow the path of the Wildwoods you learn to work in harmony with nature, drawing limited magic from the Fey winds. At 3rd Level you learn the Druidcraft cantrip and become Proficient in Survival, Nature and the Herbalism kit. If you are already proficient in Survival or Nature you gain expertise in the respective skill.
- Forest’s vengeance
While Raging, difficult terrain no longer slows your movement. If a creature within 5 feet of you hits or misses you with an attack, you can use your reaction to attack that creature immediately after its attack, provided that you can see the creature.
- Sentinel of the wildwoods
At 6th level, while raging, Allies within 10ft of you gain the benefits of your Forest’s vengeance ability without the need to rage themselves and gain a bonus to Strength, Constitution and Wisdom saving throws equal to your Proficiency bonus.
Additionally, you may cast “Plant Growth” or “Speak with Plants” as rituals.
- Shadow of the underbrush
Stalking prey in the thick verdure of the forest floor has honed your sense of awareness and ability to find the unseen. At 10th level you have advantage on initiative rolls. You can also make Tracking (Survival), and Search (Perception) checks as a bonus action.
Additionally you may cast “Commune with Nature” as a ritual.
- Rebirth of the Forest
14th In nature death often brings new life and such observations have melded into your approach to combat. When you take damage while raging you may choose an ally within 30 ft to receive temporary hit points equal to half of the damage taken. A number of allies equal to your Constitution modifier may benefit from this ability.
Additionally, you suffer none of the drawbacks of old age, and you can't be aged magically.
