The Tank is the only defense a party will need. They stand in the front and take the damage while the rest of the party attacks. They can take the hits but don't always deal a large amount of damage.
- Bonus Proficiency
Starting at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with Heavy Armor and can rage while wearing heavy armor.
- Damage Reduction
Also at 3rd level, when you are raging, whenever you take damage from weapon attacks while wearing heavy armor, the damage is reduced by an amount equal to your rage damage bonus.
- Toughness
At 6th level, your hit point maximum increases by 12. In addition, for each additional Barbarian level you gain, your hit point maximum increases by additional 2 points.
- Shield Bash
At 10th level, while wielding a shield, you can use your bonus action to Shove a creature or to make an attack with the shield. The shield is considered a light weapon, that causes 1d6 bludgeoning damage on a hit.
- Diehard
Beginning at 14th level, the your rage allows you to shrug off fatal blows.
While you're raging, having 0 hit points doesn’t knock you unconscious. You still must make death saving throws, and you suffer the normal effects of taking damage while at 0 hit points. However, if you would die due to failing death saving throws, you don’t die until your rage ends, and you die then only if you still have 0 hit points.
