Path of the Suplexer[edit]

Barbarian Subclass

A mighty warrior with little need for conventional weapons, making weapons of his own enemies and their bodies. The Suplexer embodies flair as much as he does brutality, and many a town will welcome a sporting tournament where Suplexers can bring crowds from near and far to observe their unorthodox battle strategies.

Bear Hugger

Starting at 3rd level when you take this subclass, add your proficiency bonus to any attempt to Grapple an enemy. In addition, you can use either an action or a bonus action to Grapple, gaining advantage if you use your action rather than your bonus action to do so. You can also attempt to grapple creatures of any size with disadvantage if they are two or more size categories larger than you. If you use your action rather than your bonus action to grapple a creature two or more size categories larger than you, the conflicting advantage and disadvantage cancel each other out.

Idiot Toss

Also at 3rd level when you take this subclass, while grappling an enemy, you can use an attack to throw the enemy, using them as a ranged attack, which you have proficiency with. This attack's full damage is dealt to the creature thrown regardless of if it hits a target creature or not, and is considered bludgeoning unless decided otherwise by the DM based on the characteristics of the enemy you throw, such as piercing damage for a Barbed Devil, or lightning damage for a Death Kiss. The normal range of the attack is equal to your Strength modifier x 5 feet, or your strength modifier x 10 feet when you reach 10th level, and the long range is an additional 10 feet beyond that. Upon being thrown in this manner, a creature must succeed a dexterity saving throw (DC 8 + your Strength modifier + your Proficiency bonus) or be knocked prone upon landing, as will all creatures of the thrown creature's size or smaller occupying the space or spaces that the thrown creature lands at. The damage inflicted by this attack is decided by the thrown creature's size class as seen below.

Tiny: 1d4

Medium: 2d6 + Your Strength Modifier

Large: 2d8 + Your Strength Modifier

Huge: 3d10 + Your Strength Modifier

Gargantuan: 4d12 + Twice your Strength Modifier

At 6th level, your thrown enemies are suffused with your fighting spirit, adding an extra die of damage to each throw and counting as magical weapons for the purposes of overcoming resistances to nonmagical damage.

Robust Frame

At 6th level, your body has grown accustomed to grappling and throwing enemies. You now have advantage on grapple attempts made using your bonus action, and count as one size larger when grappling. In addition, when calculating your Hit Points, add your constitution modifier twice to your hit die per level in this class.

Champion's Challenge

At 10th level, your reputation as a great fighter precedes you, and a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per day, you can challenge one enemy within a 15 ft radius to an honour match. If the enemy succeeds a Wisdom save (DC 8 + your Strength modifier + your Proficiency bonus), they may reject the challenge and gain disadvantage on all attacks on their next turn. If the enemy fails, or if the enemy succeeds but accepts the challenge, a spectral cage 20 feet x 20 feet x 20 feet appears around you, with yourself at the corner opposite the creature. If the creature you are challenging is of Huge or Gargantuan Size, the cage is instead 30 feet x 30 feet x 30 feet. Creatures outside the cage may make ranged attacks, or melee attacks with reach, on creatures inside the cage, but creatures inside the cage may not attack any creatures outside the cage. When either you or all hostile creatures inside the cage are reduced to 0 hit points, or after one minute, whichever comes first, the cage vanishes.

Ogrip

At 14th level, your hands gain extreme power, to the point you can grapple two creatures at once, one with each hand, provided you are not holding anything. While grappling two creatures, you can use the Idiot Toss feature granted by this subclass to throw one enemy as an action, then using your bonus action on the same turn, throw the second enemy. When you gain this feature, you may increase your Strength score by 2 or gain a Feat of your choice (only if your Strength is already at or above 20).
