Path of the Infernal Rager (5e Subclass)
From D&D Wiki
The Infernal Rager[edit]
Barbarian Subclass
Barbarians who follow the path of infernal rage draw their fury from the nine hells. They revel in their own vices, becoming empowered by their sins and assuming traits and characteristics from demons. Their rage is less of a fury, and more of a complete surrender to their most vile desires and passions.
- Infernal Transformation
At 3rd level, when you enter a rage, you can manifest the power of hell. You deal an additional 1d6 fire damage with melee weapon attacks.
In addition, you gain resistance to necrotic damage.
- Sin Empowerment
At 6th level, you are empowered by one sin. When you finish a long rest, choose one of the sins below. You can choose two sins upon finishing a long rest at 10th level.
- Gluttony: When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you can use a bonus action to absorb their vitality, gaining temporary hit points equal to your barbarian level + your Constitution modifier.
- Wrath: When you take damage while raging, you can use your reaction to deal fire damage equal to your Barbarian level to the attacker.
- Envy: Once per long rest, you can choose a creature within 30 feet that has the CR equal or lower than your proficiency bonus. You can benefit from the traits on its stat block for 1 hour. You can instead choose to assume its form (as the polymorph spell).
- Greed: While raging you gain a bonus to saving throws equal to your Constitution modifier. In addition, you have Advantage on all checks made to evaluate the price of items, to haggle or to steal from another creature.
- Lust: You add your Strength modifier to all your Charisma checks. In addition, if you spend 1 minute talking to someone who can understand what you say, you can make a Charisma (Persuasion) check contested by the creature's Wisdom (Insight) check. If you or your companions are fighting the creature, your check automatically fails. If your check succeeds, the target is charmed by you as long as it remains within 60 feet of you and for 1 minute thereafter.
- Pride: You become immune to the charmed and frightened condition while raging.
- Sloth: Whenever you finish a short rest, you can roll a number of d6s equal to half your Barbarian level, regaining hit points equal to that amount. In addition, while incapacitated, you have resistance to all damage and have advantage on all saving throws (including death saving throws).
- Fiendish Dominance
At 14th level, as an action, you can fully transform into a fiendish avatar for 1 minute. While transformed, you gain the following benefits:
- Hellfire Aura. At the start of each of your turns, each creature within 10 feet of you takes fire damage equal to your Constitution modifier.
- Demonic Resilience. You gain temporary hit points equal to twice your barbarian level when you transform.
- Infernal Might. You can make an additional melee attack when you take the attack action on your turn.
After your Infernal Transformation ends, you suffer one level of exhaustion.
