Path of the Astral Hands (5e Subclass)
Path of the Astral Hands[edit]
Barbarian Subclass
Like monks who follow the Way of the Astral Self, they believe that their body is an illusion and their true forms are the blossoming of astral hands that come from the soul when raging to create the ideal transfiguration. Barbarians that follow this path tend to temporarily join monasteries to focus on awakening their astral hands but also train their rage to better themselves and transform their rage and astral hands to be one of the same, giving them the power to be a deadly force.
Note: This subclass pars some abilities based on the monk subclass, Way of the Astral Self but by no means do I intend to fully copy all of the abilities about Astral self but will copy a small bit. When a saving throw needs to be made from using this subclass, the DC is 8 + wis + str + proficiency modifier.
Arms of Spectral Rage[edit]
At 3rd level, you can expend a rage charge to, when raging, make arms spectrally sprout from your soul in a 10 ft radius creating a reddish blue force momentarily, any creature in this range must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 1d8 + rage damage of force damage. This damage increases by an additional 1d8 at 6th, 11th, 17th level. These arms last until your rage ends and you determine the appearance of the hands. You gain the following benefits while raging:
- The arms guide your hands, you can use your wisdom modifier and strength modifier when adding damage. Additionally, your arms use your strength and proficiency modifier when attacking and your arms use your wisdom and strength modifier when damaging.
- You can charge your spectral arms with your inner fury, you can expend a rage charge to equip some of your arms with spectral weapons. When equipping your spectral arms with weapons you can use a bonus action to make the arms attack a creature within a 10 ft radius, on a successful attack roll the arms deal 1d8 slashing damage.
- The arms create more range for you, your reach is increased by 5 ft when raging.
- The arms mutate your blows and turn your attacks into forceful impacts, you deal an additional 1d6 force damage when making successful attack rolls. Additionally, your rage damage is force damage. The additional force damage increases by one hit dice at 6th, 10th, and 14th levels.

You determine the appearance of the armor and this armor locks up with your hands to connect your soul. You gain the following benefits while raging:

- You can manipulate your armor to restrain creatures, you temporarily wrap your spectral armor around a creature's body in a 10 ft radius. The targeted creature must make a Wisdom saving throw or become retrained for a minute. A creature can reroll this save at the end of their turn.
- The armor is your soul in a fortress, you gain 20 temporary hit points when raging.
Helm of Astal Hands[edit]
