Path of Hanma[edit]

Barbarian Subclass

Those who embrace the Path of Hanma are individuals who yearn not only for strength, but for the title of being "THE STRONGEST." The reasons behind this ambition may vary, but for those who follow this path, strength is the only true measure of worth. The methods employed, the relentless pursuit, and the total dedication to walk the path of one considered the ultimate icon of strength, Yuujirou Hanma, is what motivates these individuals.

Iron Muscles[edit]

Starting at 3rd level when you choose this path, your unarmed strikes can deal bludgeoning damage equal to 1d6 + your Strength modifier on a hit. If you are not wielding any weapon or shield when you make the attack roll, the d6 becomes a d8. Additionally, at the beginning of each of your turns, you can deal 1d4 bludgeoning damage to a creature grappled by you.

Mountain Stance[edit]

Also at 3rd level, you learn to harness your rage to root your feet in the earth, shrugging off blows from those who seek to topple you. You cannot be knocked prone while raging, unless you choose to be or become unconscious.

Seismic Fist[edit]

Starting at 6th level, you can gather destructive force with your attack, shaking even the core of the strongest structures. All your melee attacks deal double damage to objects, structures, and creatures of the construct type.

Ogre's Will[edit]

Starting at 10th level, while you're raging, you have advantage on saving throws against being frightened, stunned, charmed, poisoned, or paralyzed. If you're not raging, you can still benefit from this advantage, but only if you enter a rage before doing anything else on that turn. Additionally, while you're raging, you can use a bonus action to make an additional unarmed strike after a successful attack with your regular actions.

Demon's Back[edit]

At 14th level, you've reached the pinnacle of the Hanma style. Now, when you enter a rage, you can flex the muscles of your back to reshape them in a way that resembles the face of a demon. If you do so, while your rage lasts, you gain the following benefits and consequences:

Benefits: - You add your rage damage bonus to Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution saving throws. - If your unarmed strike's damage die deals less than half the maximum value, you can use half the damage (e.g., 1d6 deals a minimum of 3 damage). When you take damage from a creature within 5 feet of you, you can use your reaction to make a melee weapon attack against that creature.

Consequences: - When your rage ends, you suffer three levels of exhaustion. - While raging, you lose the ability to differentiate between friends and enemies and are driven by a desire to fight and destroy above all else. Whenever you take the Attack action, roll a die to determine whom you attack; targets are within your walking and weapon range.
