Barbarian Subclass
Barbarians who follow the path of explosion are able to invoke the power of fire from the primordial planes to unleash powerful explosions, leaving cinder and ashes in their path. Their rage engulfs them in mystical fire, causing an explosive aura to manifest at their will, which boths destroy their enemies and propels them into battle.
- Explosive Power
At 3rd level, you gain the ability to explode nearby things when you are at your highest power. When you enter in rage, or as a Bonus Action during the rage, you can cause an explosion to erupt out of your weapon, damaging nearby enemies. Everything within a 10 foot radius of you must make a Dexterity Saving Throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier), taking an extra 1d10 fire damage and being knocked prone on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
You can use this ability a number of times equal to your your proficiency bonus. All uses reset after a long rest. The damage increases by 1d10 at 6th, 10th, and 14th level.
- Fire Smash
Starting at 3rd level, during a rage, you can jump up into the air briefly, before smashing down with a fiery attack that will make your enemies wish they were dead. You can forgo one attack to jump to an unoccupied space within a distance in feet equal to your Strength score (this movement doesn't count against your maximum movement speed on that turn).
Creatures and objects within 15 feet of where you land take 1d10 bludgeoning and 1d10 fire damage. A successful Dexterity saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier) will reduce the damage to half.
You can use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and all uses reset after a long rest. The fire damage and the bludgeoning damage each increase by 1d10 at 6th, 10th, and 14th level.
- Fire Savior
Starting at 6th level, you gain the following:
- Resistance to fire damage
- Your walking speed increases by 10 feet
- You can now speak, read, and write primordial (ignan).
- Big Boom
Beginning at 10th level, you can cast fireball as an Action, without spending spell slots. The save DC against the fireball is 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier. Once you use this feature, you can't do it again until you finish a short or a long rest.
- Fire Incarnate
Starting at 14th level, while raging, you gain the following benefits:
- You have immunity to fire damage.
- Whenever a creature within 5 feet of you deals damage to you can use your reaction to deal them 1d6 fire damage.
