Path of Clarity[edit]

You have been gifted with a dojutsu yet unseen in the world; the Jogan. This troublesome power, originating from the Otsutsuki in some way, is said to see through and connect all dimensions.

Sudden Awakening[edit]

At 3rd level, you must choose at least one of the following. When the listed condition is met, you must attempt a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw. On a success, your Jogan activates automatically, consuming your next turn's bonus action if it is not your turn. This effect can be affected by Curse Sealing. When workshopping your own Jogan activation, ensure that it's something that can happen regularly, but not every round.

  • You are reduced to half your maximum hit points.
  • You are reduced to half your maximum chakra points.
  • You gain at least 1 level of exhaustion.
  • A friendly creature you can see is reduced to 0 hit points.
  • A hostile creature you can see is reduced to 0 hit points.
  • You are surprised.

When your Jogan activates, your sclera turns black while your iris turns a luminescent blue. While Jogan is active, you are subject to the following:

  • Your critical range extends by 1 (20 → 19-20 → 18-20).
  • You may reroll any damage rolls on your turn a number of times equal to half your Intelligence or Dexterity modifier (rounded up).
  • At the end of each turn you have your Jogan active, you must spend 1 chakra, or 2 if it was implanted.

At 15th level, you have mastered your Jogan. You gain truesight equal to your Deep Chakra Sight and must spend half as much chakra to keep your Jogan active (rounded down).

Deep Chakra Sight[edit]

At 7th level, your dojutsu can see the chakra that connects all things, rivaling the Byakugan in chakra sense. When you take the search action while your Jogan is active, you may also attempt a DC 13 Perception check to locate living creatures and magical effects within 60 feet. You see a faint outline around the detected chakra source and what school of magic or chakra nature the magical effect was created from, or one that the creature can use if any, can be discerned by you. This effect can penetrate most barriers, but is blocked by 5 feet of stone, 5 inches of common metal, 1 inch of lead, or 15 feet of wood or dirt.

Additionally, when you hit a creature with your unarmed strike while your Jogan is active, you can spend 2 chakra to force the target to make a Constitution saving throw. On a failure, the target cannot cast spells of 1st level or higher or use any Jutsu feature that uses chakra until the end of your next turn. However, it may continue to concentrate on spells or Jutsu that it cast before being affected by Chakra Disruption.

Knowledge of the Past[edit]

At 10th level, your Jogan no longer activates automatically, and you may activate or deactivate it as a bonus action. While your Jogan is active, you can see chakra afterimages every creature leaves, allowing you to see exactly where they have been up to 1 hour prior.

Knowledge of the Future[edit]

At 15th level, your Jogan sends you premonitions of the near future. As a reaction while your Jogan is active, you can impose disadvantage on one attack against you. As a reaction for 5 chakra while your Jogan is active, when a creature teleports or opens a portal within your movement speed, you may move up to your movement speed and make one action or bonus action.

Mastered Jogan[edit]

At 20th level, you have mastered every aspect of your Jogan, allowing you to perfectly predict when your opponents will attack or be open to attacks. While your Jogan is active, you may spend 1 chakra as a bonus action to gain a bonus to your AC, and attack and damage rolls equal to your Wisdom modifier until the end of your next turn.

Senrigan[edit]

At 23rd level, you may ascend your Jogan to a more matured form, the Senrigan. As a bonus action while your Jogan is active, you may double its chakra upkeep cost to gain the following benefits:

  • Your chakra sense range is doubled.
  • You gain a +3 bonus to your AC.
  • As an action for 10 chakra, you project your conscience anywhere you have seen, enabling you to see and hear as if you were there. This projection is invisible, but can be seen with chakra sense or truesight.

Alternate Feature: Deflection Shinjutsu[edit]

At 23rd level, rather than advancing your dojutsu's form, you unlock the secrets of its origin; shinjutsu, techniques that modify the fabric of reality. As a bonus action while your Jogan is active, you may forgo its normal effects and double its chakra upkeep cost to gain the following benefits:

  • You gain a flying speed equal to your movement speed.
  • As an action while touching another creature of the same type as you, any damage you take that is dealt by a creature is reduced to 0 until the beginning of your next turn. You may double this feature's chakra upkeep cost to extend these benefits to the creature you are touching as well. Creatures that are charmed by you or unconscious do not have damage they deal reduced to 0.

Senrigan Clairvoyance[edit]

At 27th level, while Senrigan is active, Knowledge of the Past can see chakra afterimages from any point in the past up to the moment of your birth, and you can hear any noise any chakra afterimages were making when they were created of your choice.

As a bonus action while Senrigan is active, you may lose the +3 bonus to your AC to gain a +3 bonus to your attack rolls or jutsu saving throws, or gain a 3d4 bonus to any damage rolls.

Alternate Feature: Reflection Shinjutsu[edit]

At 27th level, you fully master your shinjutsu. As a bonus action while Deflection Shinjutsu is active, you may double its chakra upkeep cost to gain the following benefits:

  • When you reduce damage dealt by a creature to 0, including by being immune to its damage type, they automatically take your unarmed strike's damage. If a creature causes you to become frightened of them, this damage is doubled.
