Path of Blood (5e Subclass)
From D&D Wiki
Path of Blood[edit]
Primal Path
Barbarians who follow the path of blood use their rage to fuel an ancient form of blood magic, rending themselves to craft weapons made out of the crimson ichor, consuming the blood of their enemies to supply their own vitality and becoming bringers of a bloodstained death. It is not uncommon for these barbarians to serve as guardians of hemomancers or templars in service of a blood god.
- Blade of Blood
When you choose this path at 3rd level, you can call forth a blade of blood when you rage. The blade is summoned in your off hand and deals 1d10 + your Constitution modifier + your Strength modifier slashing damage. You are proficient with the weapon and it's considered magical for the purposes of overcoming magical resistances and immunity. The blade can look like any simple or martial melee weapon but does not gain any of their special qualities. The blade lasts for the duration of the rage.
- Profane Vitality
Starting at 6th level, the blood increases your vitality. You gain temporary hit points equal to double your Constitution modifier (minimum of 2) at the end of a long rest (This effect stacks).
- Cull
At 10th level, you can use the power of the blood to carve through multiple foes. When you are raging, you can use your blade of blood as an action to teleport to an unoccupied space within 30 feet of you, a streak of crimson blood appearing between you and your previous position as an afterimage. All creatures in this 30 foot line must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus) or take your blade of blood damage. Creatures take half damage on a success.
- Eldritch Devourer
Beginning at 14th level, terrible hunger consumes you, beckoning you to consume the blood of your prey. While you're raging, whenever you hit a creature that has blood flowing through its veins with your Blade of Blood, you regain a number of hit points equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1).
