Physical Description[edit]
Cosmic Parasitic Horrors are mysterious beings, who have been attracted by a body emanating "madness" which is like an odor to them.
The higher the madness rate, the greater the extent of their "Perfume". Aesthetically they can have the most varied and disparate forms, but the major singularities usually found in these beings are the following or some of them: tentacles, abnormally slender bodies, translucent skin, soft bones or numerous eyes on various parts of the body and not all working, many glassy.
History[edit]
Arrived from a fissure between dimensions, a man from outer space, a meteorite, these parasites seek a body to possess, very greedy and unsociable with their fellows, they live with the constant desire to live. They can have dreams and wishes. But, they usually feed on the physical bodies or dreams of their recipients.
Society[edit]
No one would ever accept a symbiote into society, so just hide and pretend! No one could ever suspect that a little dog is a being from the cold and deep universe. Or from a nice old lady. All you have to do is just keep it a secret. In addition, a symbiote manages to acquire part of the memories of the container and therefore can easily concoct a subterfuge to hide from society.
<Parasitic Cosmic Horror> Traits[edit]
Ability Score Increase. You can increase your ability score by 2 points of your choice and or separate them into two different characteristics, the fact remains that you cannot exceed 20 as an ability score.
Age. Outside the bodies that host them, they can easily live up to 7000 years, while the body that hosts them will live half of its real life cycle.
Alignment. These beings don't feel the slightest bit guilty about taking the life of another living being, but, after many years in a host body, they may begin to understand the difference between good and evil.
Consequently, choosing how to approach others, the fact remains that finding a guest is always good for them.
Size. Usually a Parasite does not exceed 2.30 meters in height. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Darkvision. Accustomed to dark forests and the night sky, you have superior vision in dark or dim light conditions. They can see in dim light within 60 feet as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. They cannot discern colors in the dark, only shades of gray.
Brain washing. After you manage to take over someone's body, you can start changing their memories and creating real fantasies.
All to "sweeten the pill" and let the parasitic process run its course without a fight. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw to attempt to prevent the process. The DC is 8 + Expertise + Wisdom. The possession process takes 1 hour. Through this process you assume a small amount of information about the subject that you can use to blend in.
Name, social rank, job type, family memories, last 24 hours and small character tweaks.
Total Control. You slingshot into any orifice of your target and attempt a desperate attack on his brain to try to take possession of it.
To do this you will have to be in your parasite form and attempt to sneak into its body by stealth or force (Passive Perception by the target in case of stealth, otherwise in case of use of Pure Force, an opposed roll), if the target is helpless or unconscious you can start the brainwashing process directly. By changing small parts of your new host's DNA you will be able to use your class, but the latter will only be able to receive half of the cures given by magic, while the potions will not undergo any type of change. Additionally, you cannot apply your racial Armor Class to the host body. You can use the traits of your hosts body as if they were yours.
Parasitic form. You have a shape where you can become tiny, you can use this shape 1x every long rest.
In this form your body becomes squishy and semi-liquid so that you can pass through your veins, airways and many other organs.
Cosmic Body. Your original body has an Armor Class equal to 12 + Dexterity + Wisdom. You are resistant to Fire and Cold, although these two can give you disadvantage on Dexterity saving throws, as they put you into a drowsy state. Moreover you don't need to eat, sleep, drink or breath even when you're in the hosst body.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice.
