The panopticon is a large, fleshy creature. It carries a large, four legged body, with flesh grown over the legs, with a metal skeleton beneath the legs. In the middle of the spider-legged body, there is a small metal podium for a prism of eyes. These eyes are incredibly watchful and watch for any target near or around them. While seeing a panopticon in the wild isn't rare, they are most commonly found being used as a prison mechanism. Panopticons are typically willingly allowed to infest a prison. They keep a watchful eye on prisoners, and when one attempts to escape, the panopticon incinerates them. The creature of a panopticon doesn't seem to have a reason for enjoying this. It is just seemingly their purpose, to which they follow through. Upon seeing anyone whom they recognize as "wrong" or "escaped", it will attack them immediately. It will also sometimes just attack random creatures, seemingly for the hell of it. Panopticons are mysterious creatures in this sense. |
