Pact of the Shroud (5e Pact Boon)

From D&D Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Your patron has granted you a mystical cloak to shield you from harm. As an action on your turn, you can summon your pact shroud, which takes the form of a cloak, robe, mantle, or similar article of clothing of your choice. While wearing the shroud, you gain access to an extradimensional space within it. The space can hold up to 30 pounds of material that can fit within a 3 cubic foot space. As you gain experience, the space within your shroud expands. Its capacity improves by an additional 30 pounds in a 3 cubic foot space for each level you gain. While summoned, you can spend an action or bonus action retrieving any item you've placed within your pact shroud. Items are otherwise inaccessible without the use of your pact shroud.

While wearing your pact shroud, you gain proficiency and expertise with Stealth checks if you are not already an expert with it, and proficiency with Dexterity saving throws.

Your pact shroud disappears if it is more than 5 feet away from you for 1 minute, if you use this feature again, if you dismiss your shroud (no action required), or if you die. It also disappears if placed into another extradimensional space, or vice-versa. Instead of creating an astral rift, your shroud simply vanishes and cannot be conjured again until you perform a special ritual during a short or long rest. Any contents contained within your shroud remain inaccessible until such time that you can conjure it anew.

You can bond a magical cloak, outfit, or robe (but not armor) as your pact shroud by performing a similiar ritual over a short or long rest. Once bonded, it gains all of the abilities of your pact shroud. You cannot bond sentient clothing, and you can only have one pact shroud at a time.
