Pact Elf (5e Subrace)
From D&D Wiki
Pact Elf Subrace[edit]
This subrace can be chosen for the elf race.
Pact elves, also sometimes known as blood elves, are descended from a group of high elves. They are visually distinguished among elves by having crimson blotches across their otherwise fair skin. These pact elves are so named because their ancestors performed eldritch pacts that enabled them to gain some control over their own life energy, even though they were thrown out of elven society. Even today, they are seen as demon-worshipping heathens by high elves and wood elves—even drow want nothing to do with them.
Pact Elf Traits[edit]
Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 1.
Blood Rush. You can use your action to roll one of your Hit Dice to regain hit points, as if you had just finished a short rest. Any Hit Dice rolled with this feature are lost until you finish a long rest, and cannot be used to otherwise restore hit points or fuel other features.
Blood Sacrifice. After you roll a d20 for an attack roll or saving throw, but before the DM says whether the roll succeeds or fails, you can decide to roll a d6. In doing so, you take necrotic damage equal to the result, but then add the amount of damage you took to the d20 roll. Once you use this feature, you must finish a long rest before you use it again.
