Open Hand Mastery (5e Class Feature)
From D&D Wiki
Open Hand Mastery[edit]
Optional Way of the Open Hand Monk Feature
This 1st-level feature replaces the Open Hand Technique feature, and is a simple fix, meant to better synergize with features gained by the Open Hand monk, allowing this feature to be used without breaking the "Tranquility" feature.
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can manipulate your enemy's ki when you harness your own. Whenever you spend a ki point, you can impose one of the following effects to a creature within 5 feet of you for each ki point spent:
- It must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or be knocked prone.
- It must make a Strength saving throw. If it fails, you can push it up to 15 feet away from you.
- It can't take reactions until the end of your next turn.
Alternatively, whenever you take the Attack action, you can forgo one or more attacks to impose one of the effects above on the creature instead.
