Physical Description[edit]
Half onibornes are humanoid in shapes, usually taller and broader, sometimes there can be thinner, but all are deceptively strong, with far denser muscles. They usually have large teeth, and horns on the forehead, wich they tend to decorate with paintings and accessories. Some of them have short lion like tails. They have glowing eyes, usually of a colori similiar to their skin
Their height tend to go between 4 and 10 feet, and their weight vary between 180 and 400 pounds
Children of the oniborne tribes are multicolor, like a rainbow, and they change as they grow up. Only when they reach maturity they stabilize on one color, dependong on their personality, and they Will remain that for the rest of their life
History[edit]
Oniborne came to the world in a land where Yokai roamed the earth, and magic saturated the land. A small tribe of humans once lived in a forest claimed by a powerfull oni, the Shuten Doji. The humans that lived there started to mutate across generations, giving birth to children that resembled him, and in the span of a few hundreds years, the Oniborne as we know today came to be
Society[edit]
Oniborne society is rather warlike, they live in small villages of hunter gatherers, they Hunt powerfull Monsters and Yokai, and use their materials to craft Weapons or sell them. When some great threat arise, these villages can unite to form powerfull armies to repell enemy forces.
Even tho they live in the wilds and celebrate Strenght, they are not mindless brutes, for them knowledge and wisdom can be a form of strength. Their villages are guided by a council of elders, that has the duty of teach young ogres to survive in the wilds, as well as battle techniques, culture and customs of their land.
They mostly keep to themselves, rarely interacting with others, because oniborne are often shunned as monsters, closer to demons than fey
Oniborne Names[edit]
Oniborne have 3 Names. Their Family name, their Adult name and their birth name. When they sign for themselves, or have to present with their full name they Say their Names in this exact order
Their family name (or surname) for example: Miyamoto, Sasaki, Oda,
Their birth name, given by their parents when they are born. Usually they do not tell this name to anyone, save for their closest friend and family. Only a close selection of few can call Onibornes with their birth names, such as their lovers, childhood friends, or their parents. Example: Sora, Riku, Yuji, Gojo
Their adult name, bestowed upon them when they reach adulthood and venture in the Yokai forest to accomplish a deed. When they return to the village and show a proof of their accomplishments as a warrior, their adult name is given Upon them, usually by choosing somethings fitting of their qualities. This name is the name that usually they let other people call them with. Examples: Suji (muscles), Kotetsu (Steel), Kanabo (Mace), Chi (Blood)

Oniborne Traits[edit]
humanoid with Yokai characteristics Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 2 and One another ability Score of your choice increases by 1 Age. 15, and you can live up to over 1000 years, most oniborne do not reach that Age because they die in battle before they start to grow old Alignment. their allignment tend to vary, but usually they are chaotic Size. Oniborne vary widely in height and build, from barely 4 feet to well over 10 feet tall, your weight vary between 180 and 600 pounds. Your size is Medium Speed. Your base walking speed is 35 feet. You have a swimming or climbing speed equal to your walking speed as you were raised in the wilds and had tò climb trees and swim in rivers |
Wilderness Senses. Accustomed to twilit forests and the night sky, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray. You are proficient in Perception skill |
Yokai Resilience. you have resistance to poisons and necrotic damage. You have resistance against the poisoned and charmed conditions on |
Natural Weapons. you can Attack with your horns, claws and hands. You have an unarmed Attack that can deal 1d6 + your Strenght Modifier Bludgeoning, Piercing od Slashing damage. If you have a class that has and unarmed Attack feature, the damage dice goes up by 1 (for examples 1d8 becomes 1d10). If you are grappled to someone, you can make an unarmed Attack against them as a bonus action |
Predator Pounce. you can use the Dash action as a bonus action, when you use the Dash action attacks against you are made at disadvantage. If you move at least 30 feet straight toward a target while dashing you can attempt to grapple them as a bonus action |
Regeneration. when you regain hitpoints with a spell, potion, or when you roll hit dices on a short rest, you can add your Constitution modifier to the dice rolls. If you lose a limb, you regrow it in 1d4 +1 long rests |
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice. Subrace. you can choose a subrace from the options bellow |
Aka Oniborne[edit]
Red oniborne are one of the most commons, renowed for their Strenght and affinity with fire
Ability Score Increase. your Strenght increases by 1
Fire resistance. you have resistance to Fire damage
Red magic. you have the firebolt cantrip, Constitution Is your Spellcasting ability to it. At 5th Level you can cast Fireball once, you regain the ability to do it After a long rest
Ao Oniborne[edit]
Blue oniborne are usually gentle souls with a patient personality. These gentle giants are always willing to step up to help others
Ability Score Increase. your Wisdom increases by 1
lightning resistance. you are resistant to lightning damage
Blue magic. you learn the spare the dying cantrip. When you reach Level 5 your can cast Lightning Bolt spell at 3rd level, Constitution is your Spellcasting ability to it
Gentle Hearth. you can use the help action as a bonus action. When you do so, the creature you helped gains temporary hitpoints equal to One roll of your hit die + your Constitution modifier
Shiro Oniborne[edit]
White oniborne have a Natural affinity towards magic and are unnaturally wise, most of the elders in an oni tribe are White oniborne, and the shamans are almost all White oniborne
Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence or Wisdom increases by 2
Light Resistance. you gain resistance to radiant damage
White Magic. you can cast the Light cantrip. Upon reaching 3rd level you can cast
Spirit Step. White Oniborne are more in tune with the spirit world than their fellow bretheren and can for brief moments step through the boundaries between planes. As a bonus action, you can magically teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space of darkness that you can see. You can do so a Number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all uses after a long rest
Guide to the Spirit Realm. you gain proficiency with Religion or Arcana skill
Kuro Oniborne[edit]
Black Oniborne are some of the most fierce warriors of the tribe
Ability Score Increase. your Strenght or Dexterity increases by 2
Dark Resistance. you gain resistance to psychic damage
Dark Spells. you learn the Eldritch Blast cantrips, Constitution is your Spellcasting ability for It. At 3rd level you can cast Hex once, and at 5th Level you can cast Vampirica Touch. You can cast these spells once and regains the ability to do so after a long rest
Iron Body. as a reaction Upon taking damage, you can roll a d12 and add your Constitution modifier to the result, you reduce the damage taken by the total
student of war. you can spend a short rest trying to familiarize with a Weapon you are not proficient with. You gain proficiency with that weapon until you finish a long rest
Gure Oniborne[edit]
Grey Oniborne are among the rarest of Oni, they are oniborne that choose to remain flexible, they did not specialize instead remaining colorless to a degree. They tend to slightly change their color depending on their mood, kinda like chamaleons
Ability Score Increase. One ability Score of your choice increases by 2
Adaptive Resistance. when you finish a long rest, you can choose to have resistance to One tyoe of damage, you can change this resistance between long rests. Upon taking damage you can spend one reactions to gain resistance to that type of damage, you do this only once every long rest
everchanging magic. you can choose to learn One cantrip from every list. As well as one First Level spell at 3rd level and One third Level spell at 5th Level. You can cast the leveled spells once every long rest. Constitution is your Spellcasting ability for these spells
Natural luck. whenever you score a Natural 1 you can reroll the dice, and must choose the new result. You can only do so a Number of times equal to your proficiency bonus every long rest
Spirit Trance. whenever you finish a long rest, you can attune your mind to the Spirit Realm to learn somethings from the spirits there. Whenever you finish this trance, you gain proficiency in one skill of your choice and with one weapon or tool of your choice, selected from the Player's Handbook. You magically acquire these proficiencies by drawing them from shared elven memory and the experiences of entities on the Astral Plane, and you retain them until you finish your next long rest.
