Oniborne[edit]

Do not mistake me for a mindless brute Human, for my mind Is calm and clear
—Yamano, an half oni

Physical Description[edit]

Half onibornes are humanoid in shapes, usually taller and broader, sometimes there can be thinner, but all are deceptively strong, with far denser muscles. They usually have large teeth, and horns on the forehead, wich they tend to decorate with paintings and accessories. Some of them have short lion like tails. They have glowing eyes, usually of a colori similiar to their skin

Their height tend to go between 4 and 10 feet, and their weight vary between 180 and 400 pounds

History[edit]

Oniborne came to the world in a land where Yokai roamed the earth, and magic saturated the land. A small tribe of humans once lived in a forest claimed by a powerfull oni, the Shuten Doji. The humans that lived there started to mutate across generations, giving birth to children that resembled him, and in the span of a few hundreds years, the Oniborne as we know today came to be

Society[edit]

Oniborne society is rather warlike, they live in small villages of hunter gatherers, they Hunt powerfull Monsters and Yokai, and use their materials to craft Weapons or sell them. When some great threat arise, these villages can unite to form powerfull armies to repell enemy forces.

Even tho they live in the wilds and celebrate Strenght, they are not mindless brutes, for them knowledge and wisdom can be a form of strength. Their villages are guided by a council of elders, that has the duty of teach young ogres to survive in the wilds, as well as battle techniques, culture and customs of their land.

They mostly keep to themselves, rarely interacting with others, because oniborne are often shunned as monsters, closer to demons than fey
