The Star Stream[edit]

The (Star Stream), a system in which individuals must overcome challenges and create their own narratives for the enjoyment of other beings. The <Star Stream> exists on many planets across the universe: not only is Earth referred to as "planetary system 8612" by the <Star Stream> system messages, but numerous characters originally stem from or end up visiting other worlds. The <Star Stream> has no apparent origin and is implied to have always existed, though many beings are waiting for and speculating about its end. Each world under the rule of (Star Stream) is implied to go through an initial free trial period, in which the system is dormant. With the start of the "paid service", the challenges begin. It is further implied that the normal, almost inevitable outcome of this process is the complete destruction of the world.

Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint[edit]

You see everyone as a story, no one being real in your eyes, seeing them all as characters, as an affect, you have gained a few abilities to show this. Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint: Your trademark skill. Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint has three stages, with you only starting off with stage one

Stage One
Allows you to read the simple actions or emotions of characters; for instance, you can tell where they might aim an attack next. As a reaction you can attempt to impose disadvantage on a creatures attack roll. For an Insight check against the triggering attack and on a success the target's attack gains disadvantage. If you beat the roll by 10 or more you impose disadvantage on the next two attacks. These last until the end of the round. This has a number of uses equal to your level, recharging after a short or long rest, and grants you proficiency in Insight checks or expertise if you already have proficiency.
Stage Two
At 7th Level you gain a deep understanding of your allies. As a action you can roll a Insight check on one of your allies, with the DC being 8 + their proficiency bonus + their Wisdom modifier. On a success you gain a deep understanding of them, being able to read their thoughts and even their specific actions. For one minute afterwards, both you and the ally gain advantage on attack rolls when within 15ft of each other as you fight in tandem. You can use this an amount of times equal to your Wisdom modifier, recharging on a short or long rest.
Stage Three
As a Bonus action at the 15th level, you may roll a DC20 insight check on an ally. On a success you may share senses with said ally, as well as gaining a truesight of 60ft centered on the character. This negates your own senses. You may use this a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier, recharging on a short or long rest. May be used at 0 Hitpoints without a Action, Bonus Action, Free Action, or Reaction
1st person point of view
Activated when stage three is used while on death savings. You may fully immerse yourself into the selected character. For a DC 25 Insight check you may have partial control over an ally who is thinking of you. You may take over one of their Action, Bonus Action, Free Action, or Reaction for up to a number of minutes equal to your Wisdom modifier. Alternatively you may roll for a DC30 Insight check to take full control over said character (with permission from said player/PC), although doing this halves the time limit. When taking partial control, the character gains a +2 to all stats. When taking full control, they gain a +4. When fully in control after the time limit is reached, you may learn any one of that character's features permanently, doing this once per character. After using this ability and partial control you gain 2 levels of exhaustion, with a full control giving you 5. The full control version of this feature has a 30 day cooldown

Bookmarks[edit]

At 2nd level, allows you to copy the abilities of characters that you have a deep understanding of. You have a number of slots equal to half your level plus your Wisdom modifier
Copy
As a action you may attempt a insight check on a target, with the DC being 8+ their wisdom modfier + their proficiency bonus, on a success you can copy a feature you have seen them use within a minute. You may remove a bookmark as a full round action, being able to recopy that ability if you have access to that creature after a short/long rest. You can not copy abilities from a deity.
Bookmark
As a action you may activate 1 of your bookmarks, gaining the feature you copied. This lasts for a minute and you may only have one active.
At the 6th level this increases to 2 minutes and at 14th level increase to 3 minutes and you may activate 2 at once, although this halves the time limit for using those features. Any features used are expended until a short/long rest

Using this feature before 10th level with halve the effectiveness of any ability. Speak with your DM on how this works with certain abilities.

Character Profile[edit]

At the 3rd level, allows you to read the stats, name, and attributes of creature you encounter. As an action you may perform a insight check on a creature within 20Ft of you, with the DC being 12 + their proficiency bonus + their wisdom modifier. On a success you learn their name, if you beat it by a 5, you learn their HP (current and Max) and stats, beating it by 10 or more you may learn a vulnerability that they possess. You may reread their Character profile at any point without another check but if you fail they are immune to this for the next 24 hours

Ability Score Improvement[edit]

When you reach 4th level, and again at 8th, 12th, 16th and 19th level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or you can increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. As normal, you can't increase an ability score above 20 using this feature.
