Shrike Song. Target creature, which must be incapacitated is impaled on a massive spike reaching a height of 10 feet, and a mysterious birdsong is heard. Impaled creatures must make 3 death saving throws as though they were reduced to 0hp. If the three saving throws are successful, the target creature successfully escapes, taking 2d6 Piercing damage, If three saving throws are failed, instead of dying, the creature is revived as an undead creature with half of its maximum hit points. This undead must fight alongside Old Man Witherbones. If Old Man Witherbones is defeated, the undead will regain control over its body but remains undead unless something is done about their condition. If Old Man Witherbones is purged of corruption, Lysandre will purify and heal those afflicted by its spores, bringing them back to life at half their maximum hit points.

Old Man Witherbones is a druidic guardian corrupted by the grasp of (BBEG, name TBD) over thousands of years. While the creature once known as Lysandre was once a peaceful living plant that gently corrected those who tried to violate nature's will, including Braum the Bold, who was often gently warned by Lysandre due to his job as a lumberjack. One night, after Braum had finally completed a fully autonomous sawmill, he disappeared in the night at the rooty tendrils of "Witherbones," a corrupt judge, jury and executioner. After centuries, this tale faded into a local legend. Recently the people of Twoleaf have lived in fear of a skeletal figure plaguing the edges of the village, abducting many.

On a cursory examination, Old Man Witherbones is a horrific creature resembling an emaciated human corpse. In fact, this body is that of the still-living Braum the Bold being puppeteered by "Witherbones" itself.
