The Odachi (litterally "long tachi") is a curved single-edged sword. It resembles a large Katana (Okatana), but is slightly longer and features a more curved blade and grip. The Odachi is often used with two hands on foot and sometimes in one hand from horseback.
Due to its overall lenght and weight, the Odachi is hard to use in one hand properly without special training: thus, it's an exotic weapon. Anyone wielding an Odachi in one hand with Exotic Weapon Proficiency takes only a -2 penalty to attack rolls instead of -4.
A character can use an Odachi two-handed as a martial weapon.
