The following Oath and contracts are only available to characters with at least 5 levels in the Swordbearer classes.
Additionally you cant use Oath to help meet prerequisites for other Oath.
Tier 1 Oaths[edit]
You begin your journey with a simple act of trust and faith, forming a Oath that grants minor, yet meaningful, blessings. 10 Favor required.
- Oath of Allied Vengeance
Prerequisites: Kill a creature with Negative Energy alongside an ally. (Both you and the ally must be within 5 ft of defeated enemy)
- Method to Activate: Both you and a ally that you designate as a free action must land a strike on their respective turns.
- Reward: Upon successfully meeting these conditions, both you and your ally regain 2 Divine Flow, symbolizing the strength gained through unity in battle.
- Oath of Resilient Stand
Pre-requisite: The character must survive a combat encounter while surrounded by at least two hostile creatures for two consecutive turns without becoming incapacitated or unconscious.
- Method to Activate: This Oath activates automatically when surrounded by hostile creatures, requiring no action to maintain.
- Reward: Gain a +1 bonus to AC when within 5 feet of two hostile creatures. This bonus increases by +1 for every two additional hostile creatures, up to a maximum of +3. This bonus does not stack with similar effects.
- Oath of Intimidating Defiance
Pre-requisite: Successfully taunt/intimidate an enemy into attacking you instead of an ally or successfully intimidate an enemy into retreating, attacking or hesitating.
- Method to Activate: Use a reaction to taunt an enemy within 15 feet when they target an ally. The enemy must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + proficiency bonus + Charisma modifier). On a failed save, they must attack you instead.
- Reward: If the enemy attacks you as a result of the taunt, you gain temporary hit points equal to your constitution modifier.

Tier 2 Oaths[edit]
Prove your growing dedication to the celestial cause, gaining more potent abilities that strengthen your commitment. 30 Favor required.
- Oath of Allied Vengeance (Enhanced)
Prerequisite: Kill 3 creatures imbued with Negative Energy alongside an ally during the same combat. Both you and the ally must be within 5 feet of each defeated enemy.
- Method to Activate: Both you and an ally designated as a free action must land a strike on their respective turns.
- Reward: Upon meeting these conditions, both you and your ally regain 4 Divine Flow and gain temporary hit points equal to your proficiency bonus, representing the reinforced bond through battle.
- Oath of Resilient Stand (Enhanced)
Prerequisite: The character must survive a combat encounter while surrounded by at least three hostile creatures for three consecutive turns without becoming incapacitated or unconscious.
- Method to Activate: Automatically activates in combat when surrounded by hostile creatures.
- Reward: Gain a +2 bonus to AC when within 5 feet of two hostile creatures. This bonus increases by +1 for every additional hostile creature within 5 feet, up to a maximum of +4. Additionally, once per turn, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on a single attack against you.
- Oath of Intimidating Defiance (Enhanced)
Pre-requisite: Successfully taunt three different enemies in a single combat or force an enemy to flee through intimidation or fear.
- Method to Activate: Use a reaction to taunt an enemy within 30 feet when they target an ally. The enemy must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 10 + proficiency bonus + Charisma modifier). On a failed save, they must attack you instead and have disadvantage on attack rolls against you.
- Reward: If the enemy attacks you, you gain temporary hit points equal to twice Constitution modifier.

Tier 3 Oaths[edit]
Demonstrate trust through unwavering focus, earning deeper wisdom and protection from the angels. 70 Favor required.
- Oath of Allied Vengeance (Supreme)
Prerequisite: Kill 5 creatures imbued with Negative Energy alongside an ally in the same combat. Both you and the ally must be within 5 feet of each defeated enemy.
- Method to Activate: Both you and a designated ally (as a free action) must successfully land strikes on consecutive turns without missing an attack.
- Reward: Upon fulfilling these conditions, both you and your ally regain 6 Divine Flow, gain temporary hit points equal to twice your proficiency bonus, and can make one additional attack as a free action on your next turn.
- Oath of Resilient Stand (Supreme)
Prerequisite: The character must survive a combat encounter while surrounded by at least four hostile creatures for four consecutive turns without becoming incapacitated or unconscious.
- Method to Activate: Activates automatically when surrounded by hostile creatures, requiring no action to maintain.
- Reward: Gain a +3 bonus to AC when within 5 feet of two hostile creatures. This bonus increases by +1 for every additional hostile creature within 5 feet, up to a maximum of +5. Additionally, as a reaction, you can force all hostile creatures within 5 feet to make a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier) or be knocked prone. You can use this feature once per combat.
- Oath of Intimidating Defiance (Supreme)
Pre-requisite: Successfully taunt five different enemies in a single combat or intimidate a powerful foe (such as a boss or leader) into acknowledging you as a threat.
- Method to Activate: Use a reaction to taunt an enemy within 45 feet when they target an ally. The enemy must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 12 + proficiency bonus + Charisma modifier). On a failed save, they must attack you instead, have disadvantage on all attacks and saving throws until the end of their turn, and take psychic damage equal to your Charisma modifier when they attack you.
- Reward: If the enemy attacks you, you gain temporary hit points equal to three times your Constitution modifier.

Tier 4 Oaths[edit]
Show willingness to endure hardship for divine purpose, receiving blessings that reflect your perseverance. 120 Favor required.

Tier 5 Oaths[edit]
Your proven loyalty yields significant power, and angels grant their trust in your ability to wield their gifts responsibly. 180 Favor required.
- Oath of Divine Judgment
Prerequisites: The character must have endured extreme hardship and self-sacrifice for the greater good of humanity. This Oath is granted directly by celestial beings and cannot be sought out or earned through conventional means.
- Method to Activate: This Oath activates when the character willingly dedicates their entire focus to subduing a target. The character must be within 30 feet of the target and use their action to initiate the Oath.
- Reward: The character channels divine energy to completely restrain a single target within range. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 12 + proficiency bonus + wisdom modifier).
If the target’s Wisdom score is less than 12, they automatically fail the saving throw.
On a failed save, the target is incapacitated and restrained by celestial bindings, unable to move, attack, or cast spells. This effect lasts for up to 1 minute as long as the character maintains concentration.
While maintaining the Oath’s power, the character is also unable to take any actions, move, or use reactions, as they are fully devoted to keeping the target restrained. If the character loses concentration or willingly ends the effect, the Oath fades, and the target is freed.
This ability can be used once per long rest.

Tier 1 Bargains[edit]
Grants minor power with minimal risk but begins binding your essence to dark forces.
- Soulbound Bargain: Pact of Relentless Precision
Cost: 5 Soul Points
- Effect: When you miss an attack, you can reroll it once. This ability can be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. All uses are regained after a long rest.
- Deficit: If you fail three attacks on your turn, your next attack is made with disadvantage. (if you use the ability to re-roll it will still count as if you missed for the purposes of this deficit)
- Soulbound Bargain: Pact of Resilient Fury
Cost: 5 Soul Points
- Effect: Whenever you take damage, you can store the damage taken as a resource as a free action. The next time you deal damage with an attack, you can add up to 10 stored damage to the attack's total damage. Stored damage persists until used.
- Deficit: If you take damage while already at your maximum stored damage, the excess damage overloads your mind and body. You suffer 2d6 psychic damage for every 5 points of damage that exceed your storage limit.

Tier 2 Bargains[edit]
Provides noticeable enhancements at the cost of growing spiritual fatigue and devilish influence.
- Soulbound Bargain: Pact of The Fool’s Strength
Cost: 10 Soul Points
- Effect: Increase your Strength score by 4 ignoring score maximum. Additionally, when you land a strike, add +1 to your next attack roll and damage roll (up to your proficiency bonus).
- Deficit: Reduce Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores by 2. Additionally, when you fail an Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma check (excluding saving throws), you misinterpret the situation (e.g., mistaking danger for safety).
- Soulbound Bargain: Pact of Relentless Precision (Greater)
Cost: 10 Soul Points
- Effect: When you miss an attack, you can reroll it with advantage. This ability can be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus +1.
- Deficit: If you fail three attacks in a row, your next two attacks are made with disadvantage. (if you use the ability to re-roll it will still count as if you missed for the purposes of this deficit)
- Soulbound Bargain: Pact of Resilient Fury (Greater)
Cost: 10 Soul Points
- Effect: Whenever you take damage, you can store the damage taken as a resource as a free action. The next time you deal damage with an attack, you can add up to 20 stored damage to the attack's total damage. Stored damage persists until used.
- Deficit: If you take damage while already at your maximum stored damage, the excess damage overloads your mind and body. You suffer 3d6 psychic damage for every 5 points of damage that exceed your storage limit.

Significant abilities come with clouded judgment and deepening entanglements with the devil.
- Soulbound Bargains : Pact of the Fool’s Strength (Greater)
Cost: 15 Soul Points
- Effect: Increase your Strength score by 6 ignoring score maximum. Your attack bonus increases by +2 per successful hit (up to your proficiency bonus).
- Deficit: Reduce Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores by 3. You automatically fail Intelligence-based skill checks, and when you fail Wisdom or Charisma checks (excluding saving throws), you believe the opposite of what is true.
- Soulbound Bargain: Pact of Relentless Precision (Absolute)
Cost: 15 Soul Points
- Effect: When you miss an attack, you can reroll it with advantage. If the reroll succeeds, the attack becomes a critical hit. This ability can be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus.
- Deficit: If you miss three attacks in a row, you lose the ability to reroll attacks until you complete a short or long rest. Additionally, for the rest of combat your attacks are made at disdvantage, all attacks you make have disadvantage. (if you use the ability to re-roll it will still count as if you missed for the purposes of this deficit)
- Soulbound Bargain: Pact of Resilient Fury (Absolute)
Cost: 50 Soul Points
- Effect: Whenever you take damage, you can store the damage taken as a resource as a free action. The next time you deal damage with an attack, you can add up to 30 stored damage to the attack's total damage. Stored damage persists until used.
- Deficit: If you take damage while already at your maximum stored damage, the excess damage overloads your mind and body. You suffer 3d6 psychic damage for every 5 points of damage that exceed your storage limit.

Cost: 20 Soul Points
- Effect: Increase your Strength score by 8 ignoring score maximum. Your attack bonus increases by +3 per successful hit (up to double your proficiency bonus).
- Deficit: Reduce Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores by 4. You automatically fail Intelligence-based skill checks and have disadvantage on Wisdom and Charisma saving throws. When you fail a Wisdom or Charisma check, you act irrationally (e.g., attacking allies, ignoring threats).
