For as long as dragons roamed the Material Plane, there were mortals who took up arms either in their name or against them. These draconic knights base their abilities off of their chosen dragon type. Those who swear upon the Oath of the Dragon are able to channel some of the power from these great creatures to accomplish feats of greatness and protect their people. Those who follow this path may develop certain draconic features, such as changes to their eyes, sharpened teeth/fangs, and even grow scales on parts of their bodies.

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.
Draconic Breath. You gain a breath weapon attack corresponding with the dragon color you follow: All creatures in a 30-foot cone from the player must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 4d6 damage on a failed save, or half on a successful save. This damage increases to 6d6 at 9th level, 8d6 at 12th level, and 10d6 at 15th level.
Frightful Presence. You can use your channel divinity to exude a terrifying presence. As an action, you can force each creature of your choice that you can see within 30 feet to make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature becomes frightened of you for one minute. The frightened creature can repeat this saving throw at the end of each of their turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
- Draconic Smite
Starting at 7th level when using Divine Smite, you can choose to exchange any number of damage die from radiant to the element of the dragon you chose. If a dragon dies within 100 feet of you, you absorb a part of its essence may add additional elements corresponding to the color of the slain dragon.
- Draconic Resistance
At 15th level, you become immune to the damage type of the chosen dragon you follow.
- Draconic Transformation
At 20th level, you can channel your power to take on the form of a draconic creature. Using your action, you undergo a transformation. For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits:
- Your AC increases by 2 as hardened scales cover your body.
- You have blindsight with a range of 60 feet. Within that range, you can effectively see anything that isn’t behind total cover, even if you’re blinded or in darkness. Moreover, you can see an invisible creature, unless the creature successfully hides from you.
- Wings sprout from your back, giving you a flying speed of 60 feet.
- Improved Breath Weapon - as a bonus action on subsequent turns for the duration, you can exhale energy in a 60-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 6d8 damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
