Nonlethal Spell (3.5e Feat)
From D&D Wiki
Nonlethal Spell [Metamagic]
Your spell does not kill.
Prerequisite:
Benefit: A spell made nonlethal does not kill those who are effected by it. If the nonlethal spell deals enough damage to reduce a creature's hp to 0, the creature is staggered. If the spell brings the creature's hp below 0, the creature is unconscious.
A spell-chained spell uses up a spell slot one level higher than the spell’s actual level.
Special: A spell with a death effect cannot be made nonlethal by this feat.
