Nekhelega[edit]

Personality[edit]

Though they are considered highly intelligent and sharp, the average Nekhelega will try to avoid any situation where the attention is too much onto him as he prefers to stay out of the light with his true personality. The main reason for this is that they prefer to be anonymous so that they can do as they are pleased, unless that attention gives them what they recquire to do as they please. Stealthy and a playful, the Nekhegela will generally find out pretty young that he likes to have control and will most likely find a way that suits his taste to keep that control over his life and the people that surrounds it. They mostly end up living two lives, one being important figures and the other one really being themselves.

They closely resembles humans in their manner, though they tend to be more defeatist and keep grudges longer when things don't go their way. As such, they start to get jealous pretty easily if they are getting attached to something or someone. There truthfulness and sincerity can be perceived as rude, but they just don't like to lie when they don't get something from it.

The Nekhegela tend to be really realistic, methodic and more often than never they are highly calculating persons. Because of that, they do not tend to get into relationship easily, as they do not see the point of it, other than conceiving an offspring. They also have difficulty with conversation - or life in general- regarding feelings that can't be quantify and that can't be scientifically be proven such as love.

Physical Description[edit]

The average male Nekhelega will be around 6-8 ft. tall, while the women will be around 5-6 ft. tall. The male will always have bright colored eyes, as female will tend to have dark colored eyes. At the contrary, male will have dark colored hairs and female will have Light colored hair.

Their skin is fair and they closely resemble in any form a normal human. The only difference is when they are experiencing intense emotions, their skin will become traced with runes-shaped tattoos that will appear like they were painted on the skin with ink. The color and the shape of the runes depends greatly on the destiny and the personality of its bearer.

They become adult at the age of 20, are considered middle-aged at 40, become old at the age of 90 and their lifespan go around 110 years.

If a man falls into any of the category of the physical description of a woman, he will be considered as such. Same goes for a female that falls into the physical description of the male category.

Relations[edit]

Being a race of written and not spoken words, the Nekhegela will see the knowledge of someone as a way to define stature. As such, a well educated Nekhegela will be considered higher in the ranks of society than someone that is less educated, even if he is physically more powerful or wealthier than him. Their relations toward each other are strictly business relationship and they will try to have offspring with the most intelligent of their race. They start to have more pressure to gather knowledge when they become adults at the age of 20.

However, their business with other races are more the playful types. They are legitimately curious about the other races, their beliefs and their custom, so they tend to travel a lot. They will also be really friendly toward those that they can relate to, but can be pretty harsh if someone tries to outsmart them.

Alignment[edit]

Always Chaotic, but the can be either lawful, neutral or evil.

Lands[edit]

The Nekhegela do not have a proper land, their homes being destroyed centuries ago. Since that moment, they prefer putting their energy into travelling and knowing more about the world than trying to rebuild a civilisation that could not remain.

Religion[edit]

They do not have any particular religion, although they can have faith in whatever please them.

Sacred rule[edit]

The way they fight should be addressed here so that the rest make sense. Their high intelligence got them the blessing of magic itself, that use them as filters. Because of that, they can use it at their own will, with little to no preparation at all. They have two ways to conduct their spells : One, they fight with their spoken words. The Attack and offense is always spoken and the defense, invocation or materialisation of any other things are written onto sacred parchment. The only sacred rules in their society is that Words are too powerful to use and it is considered as an act of war to talk directly to someone into their race. They will prefer write to each other or communicate by sings with one of them.

Language[edit]

Because of their high intelligence and knowledge, they can write and speak any language although they decided not to speak at all.

Names[edit]

They will mostly use whatever names they find suitable into history of various culture, including their own.

The most common names are those of the sacred texts, such as the Bible, the Coran, the Zabur or any other sacred texts everywhere.
