Muscle Sorcerer (5e Subclass)
From D&D Wiki
Muscle Sorcerer[edit]
- Sorcerer Subclass
Your innate magic comes from the power of your glistening muscles. Perhaps you were born of an illicit affair between one of your parents and an earth elemental. Perhaps your last name is Armstrong. One thing is certain: ever since you were young, your muscles have had a major impact on those around you. Muscle Sorcerers are rare, but if you ever come across one, you will know very quickly. A Muscle Sorcerer rarely makes any attempt at hiding his strength.
- Charismatic Muscles
Starting at 1st level, you use Strength as your primary ability instead of Charisma. Your spellcasting ability for your sorcerer spells is replaced by Strength instead of Charisma, and your spell save DC and spell attack modifier for sorcerer spells you cast is recalculated as below:
- Spell Save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier
- Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier
In addition, Flexible Casting feature is renamed Flex Casting for you. You expend sorcery points through dramatically flexing your muscles.
- Unarmored Defense
You prefer to show off your muscles, but they aren't just for show. Starting at 1st level, while you are not wearing any armor, your Armor Class equals 10 + your Dexterity modifier + your Strength modifier.
- Pectoral Prowess
Also starting at 1st level, you gain proficiency with all simple melee weapons and one martial melee weapon of your choice.
- Grandiose Glutes
Starting at 6th level, your muscles become so impressive. You may use Strength instead of Charisma for Intimidation or Persuasion checks at the DM's discretion. In addition, whenever you make a Strength (Intimidation) or Strength (Persuasion) check by flexing your muscles magnificently, your proficiency bonus is doubled if it applies to the check.
- Beneficial Biceps
Starting at 14th level, when a creature within 30 feet of you attempts to use a Strength check, you may use your reaction to roll 1d4 and apply the outcome as a bonus or penalty (your choice) to the creature’s roll. If the creature is an ally, they may use your Strength Mod instead of theirs as you bolster their spirits.
- Accentuated Abdominals
Starting at 18th level, you have become attuned to the muscle magic coursing through your body. When you cast any spell or cantrip that is affected by Metamagic, you may use your bonus action to perform a melee attack.
