Tiefling Subrace[edit]
Murmur is a duke and earl of hell, commanding 30 legions of demons. He can force the dead to appear and communicate with them, as well as being knowledgeable in philosophy. He appears as a soldier wearing a ducal crown and riding a vulture-like griffin, with two demonic servants following in front of him playing a cacophony of trumpets.
Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence score increases by 1.
Legacy of the Trumpeting Duke. You know the message cantrip. Once you reach 3rd level, you can cast the comprehend languages spell once. Once you reach 5th level, you can cast the speak with dead spell once. You must finish a long rest to cast one of these spells again with this trait. Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells when you cast them with this trait (choose when you select this race).
Goetic Resistance. You have resistance to necrotic damage. This trait replaces the Hellish Resistance trait.
Whispers from the Dead. You have proficiency with the Persuasion skill. If you are already proficient with this skill, you gain proficiency with another skill of your choice.
