Physical Description[edit]

Moosotaurs are barrel-chested humanoids with heads resembling those of moose. Blessed with a supernaturally strong sense of direction, moosotaurs make great navigators. Some sages believe moosotaurs were first created by the gods to protect magical forests. Moosotaurs antlers range in size from about 1 foot long to 8 feet long. Moosotaurs often carve their antlers after falling off to sharpen their edges, etch symbols of power into them, or sheathe them in bronze to prevent them from shattering during battle or every day use. Thick hair extends down moosotaur’s necks and powerful backs, and some have long patches of hair on their chins and cheeks. Their legs end in heavy, cloven hooves, and they have short, tufted tails.

History[edit]

The Moosotaurs were originally created in the feywild to protect nearby forests and important trees however it was soon realized that they could be used to protect gateways between realms so long as those gateways are located in forests, they were eventually found by dwarves and hired for their immense pulling power and general strength which was helpful in blacksmith's shops.
