Moonlight Guardian[edit]

Fighter Subclass

Warriors blessed by the moon, moonlight guardians are bearers of the sacred power of moonlight, and devoted acolytes of the Night White Lady. These warriors double as priests and paladins of the goddess of moon, carrying on its will, and acting as the sword of the Selûne against her enemies, her shield to hold the forces of darkness and her speakers, carrying on her messages by interpreting the auguries given by the moon. Sometimes these warriors are called of night watchers, as they guard the night under the watchful eye of the full moon.

Bringers of Light

The main duty of a Moonlight Warrior is to act as lighthouses for those who wander lost in despair, amidst the shadows. The moonlight offers comfort and protection, brings knowledge to those open to interpret its signs, and expose those who operate on the shadows. They tend to be specially welcomed by navigators and sailors, since the moon both offers guidance to its shining light, and control the tides, granting a safe travels.

Enemies of Darkness

All warriors of Selûne are sworn enemies of the goddess of darkness, Shar, and wage an eternal war against the Mistress of Night, preventing the invasion shadows constantly lurking in the borders of the material plane. For this reason, they are skilled in protecting themselves from the effects of dark magic and the negative effects of the Plane of Shadow. They tend to oppose servants of Shar that can tap into the shadow weave, such as Shadow Monks and Sorcerers from the Shadow Origin.

They also oppose creatures who serve the darkness or oppose the purity of the moonlight, such as evil lycanthropes and undead creatures, specially those with ties to the Shadowfell, like shadows.
