Moonblood[edit]

Physical Description[edit]

They just look like humans but with a perfectly white skin and they are also sterile. In most cases, they have a remarkable eye color (emerald green, red, yellow…), their blood is silver in color. They have some predispositions to become strong and agile warriors, their senses are boosted and they are most of the time monsters hunters, adventurers or mercenaries.

History[edit]

The Moonbloods are a very particular race, due to their infertility and their rarity, the Moonbloods have no civilization or culture. They born from humans under the right planets alignment, they are a kind of magical mutants. Their appearance and their conditions of birth make them the object of strong discrimination and they are generally compared to demons.

Attitudes and Beliefs[edit]

As said above, the Moonbloods don't really have a society, they sometimes group together to survive but they are very few. They are often solitary and the different races don't like them much, especially humans. They are mostly itinerant and only come into contact with society to take a quest or to collect a reward.

Moonblood Traits[edit]

Pretty much a human with snow white skin.
Ability Score Increase. Two ability scores of your choice increase by 2.
Age. The Moonbloods reach their adult form around 25 years then start to getting older around 200 years. Males can live until their 700 years and females can reach 1000 years.
Alignment. They have no genetic predispositions toward an alignment or an other but the reject from the society push them toward the chaotic side.
Size. A Moonblood is the same size as a human. Your size is medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Bio-resistance. You get an advantage on your saving throw against poison and alcohol.
Powered by the Moon. If the Moon is visible, you haven’t to sleep to be rested.
Regeneration. You have a regeneration capacity that allows you, for example, to regrow an arm (in about two months). This also means that your body does not have any scars, and it is from this ability that the Moonbloods draw their longevity.
Water Walk. From level 3 onwards, you have the abilities of the spell " Water Walk " permanently.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice.
Subrace. Instead of a typical subrace, Moonbloods can choose one of the following additional abilities. They can choose a new one at level 7, 14 and 19.

Moonblood's abilities[edit]

Enhanced perception. You get advantage on perception checks that use hearing or smell.
Magic Infusion. You can make a silver or lunar steel weapon magical (if it is not already). This gives you, in addition to the type of damage that overrides physical damage resistances, a +1 bonus to the attack and damage roll.
Pure energy armor. Under the direct rays of the Moon, you get a +1 AC bonus.
Astral traveler. You know how to find your way thanks to the stars, if they are visible you always know where north is and you are unable to get lost (except by magical means).
Spirit of the Moon. Your Wisdom score increases by 1.
Red Moon. You gain resistance to fire damage.
Blue Moon. You gain resistance to cold damage.
