Moon fey are a thoughtful and sometimes brooding race. They think through every move and are never hasty. They never see combat as the first or only option. Still, they will fiercely loyal and will protect anyone who took the trouble to protect them. But, they are a cold and cynical race and no amount of loyalty can make them over-look facts and logic. Although they don't look down at other(non-fey) races, they pity their barbaric ways. This quality probably led to all the prejudices against the moon fey even thought they had the best of intentions in mind.
Play a Moon fey if you want...
- To be mysterious and eccentric
- To favor primal classes
- To love snow, cold, and the moon
- To be a member of a race that favors the wizard, shaman, druid, cleric, and ranger classes.
Physical Qualities[edit]
Moon fey are pale and cold to the touch. They have silver or white hair, black hair is considered an evil omen. Their eyes resemble a cat's, for they reflect light and the pupils are slitted. They are big, slanted eyes that range from white to bright blue, sometimes yellow. Like eladrin even the most muscular ones are slim. They have long pointed ears like an elf, but they are higher up and more closely resemble a cat's ears. Moon fey mature as a human would, but aging slows as an elf's would. They can live to about 150.
Because they can change specific parts of their bodies, an angry moon fey might snarl with a wolf's snout or a happy one might wag its tail. It depends on the person.

Moon Fey Adventurers[edit]
Three sample moon fey adventurers are described below.
Frost-Bite is a moon fey shaman from a tribe far in the north. Strange heat waves have caused them to have to migrate to find food. Now he has gone of on a quest suggested by a local spirit to find the cause of the unusual heat. Little did he know were the mysterious spirits were leading him...
Luna is a moon fey cleric to Sehannie, chosen by her clan to heal the injured and sick of all the neighboring clans. But she becomes separated from them in a huge blizzard and she tried to find a way back. Knowing it is impossible, she headed off with a party of adventurers with full intentions of coming back with new power to her clan.
Blizzard is a dedicated moon fey wizard. This led to him being distracted. Not doing chores or jobs required of him. The elder of their clan ruled that he must prove himself worthy of living with the rest of them. He was sent on a perilous quest to prove his worth. He acted completely the opposite of what the elder intended, running of bubbling with joy at the chance to use his newest spell, very ignorant of what lay ahead of him.
Moon Fey History[edit]
Moon fey used to live in the Feywild, but when they saw the turmoil in the Material Plane they could not sit and watch as many of there cousins. They adapted to the bitter cold northern regions with their natural shapeshifting powers to not disturb the other inhabitants and so they would not be disturbed in return. They devised cunning, subtle plans to affect the world from afar, but nothing is subtle or cunning enough to stay unnoticed forever. As rash and impulsive as humans are, they attack the moon fey with the absurd notion that they where werewolves.
The moon fey eventually fought and won the war after they were certain there was no other way. They still mourn for the lost of both races. This war did nothing to help the humans favor of the moon fey. Rumors and folk stories spread until the moon fey had to retreat to the more secluded North and couldn't carry out anymore of there plans. But, proud as they are, the moon fey would not go back to the safety of the Feywild. They still try to carve their life out in the snow-buried North. With such a such small population(only about 1000) it's hard to gather food, but, it wouldn't be very much easier anywhere else. From the hundreds of generations living in the North the moon fey can't shapeshift into anything other than the arctic animals listed in the Shapeshift racial power.
