Flyby. The monkey-bird doesn't provoke an opportunity attack when it flies out of an enemy's reach.

Innate Spellcasting. The monkey-bird's innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 11). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

At will: animal messenger, locate animals or plants
1/day each: chromatic orb, healing word

Pack Tactics. The monkey-bird has advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the monkey-bird's allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn't incapacitated.

Tiny Terror. The monkey-bird has advantage on attack rolls against creatures larger than itself.

ACTIONS

Talons. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d4 + 2) slashing damage.

Monkey Growl (Recharge 4-6). The monkey-bird growls loudly and each creature within 10 feet of it must succeed on a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened until the end of its next turn.

Monkey-birds are vibrantly feathered primates typically found living in small communities on distant tropical islands. These creatures are said to flit from treetop to treetop, feeding on fruits and nuts, though they are also said to eat smaller animals they can catch with their talons. Known for their inquisitive and at times playful nature, they are popular among the wealthy as exotic pets, though many witches and wizards keep them as familiars, while others have been recruited into the various nefarious pirate crews of the high seas.
