Mindari[edit]

A perfect way of life for nature's creatures.

Physical Description[edit]

By Noyohi

Mindari appear as an amorphous mass of organic tissue. Their form is constantly changing, adopting tentacles, appendages and grotesque shapes according to needs and circumstances. Their presence is marked by a pungent and unpleasant odor, and their mass seems to be constantly in motion, as if alive.

History[edit]

Many centuries ago, in an ancient forest inhabited by various races, a group of elven druids, orcs, firbolgs, and shifters experimented with nature, trying to better understand the living fabric of the forest. Among their experiments, they tried to fuse the essence of forest creatures with that of the spirits that inhabited it, seeking to create new and powerful beings that would protect and strengthen the ecosystem.

However, their experiments repeatedly failed, giving rise to fearsome aberrations that spread panic among the druids and the creatures of the forest. In a last desperate attempt to right their wrongs, the druids channeled their combined magic into one last ritual, combining the essence of the forest creatures with a fragment of the forest spirit itself.

The result was a singular entity: the Mindari. They emerged as an amorphous mass, a physical manifestation of the forest itself, with the ability to take on changing forms at will. At first, the druids felt fear and horror at having created this creature, but over time they understood its purpose.

The Mindari became the protectors of the forest, working in harmony with other creatures to preserve their home. However, their aggressive nature and weakness to fire made them feared by those who did not belong in the forest. Still, among the creatures of the forest, they were revered as the very embodiment of their home.

Society[edit]

The Mindari live in communities within the oldest and most protected forests. Their society is peaceful with each other, but hostile towards any entity they perceive as a threat to nature. They follow a leadership based on the wisdom of the elders and communion with the spirits of the forest.
