Physical Description[edit]
Mayans are an Ancient Civilization that adapted to show great intelligence and understanding of the cosmos and themselves.
History[edit]
Mayans were one of 3 great ancient western Civilizations, The Mayans were most notable for their intellect and wisdoms, Though they were also known for their Ruthless warriors and Violent rituals. Most of the Mayan civilizations were wiped out by Savage Conquistadors with poor hygiene and gunpowder weapons, Though the Mayans did not go down easily. Only small remnants of their culture exist in the world today.
Society[edit]
Mayans like every society had its Pros and cons, From creating giant pyramids and courts for games similar to basket ball, to sacrificing virgins and ripping the still beating hearts from their enemies' chest. Mayans lived in dense jungles with many dangerous predators about, but they remained the apex as they learned to maneuver through the jungle with ease and leave traps scattered through the foliage. Mayans had a love for jade using it for weapons, Rituals, and jewelry its rare to find a Mayan without Jade on their person, Many Mayans wore piercings and tribal paint to show their individuality, with the Chiefs and elders wear extravagant head pieces with flowers, feathers and jade.

Mayan Traits[edit]
Ancient Human-like race with an understanding of the cosmos as strong as their brutality in battle.
Ability Score Increase. Your Wisdom score increases by 1.
Age. Mayans have a similar lifespan to humans but live a bit longer, Mayans easily live past 100 years old.
Alignment. Mayans are very different from person to person, they can be any alignment but many stick to lawful neutral.
Size. Mayans vary widely in height and build, from barely 5 feet to well over 6 feet tall. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet. Your Climb speed is 20
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Jungle Foot. Due to growing up in the dense jungle you can ignore Difficult terrain
Mayan Maskery. Due to your tribal paint you find it easy to frighten others you gain proficiency in intimidation
Trap Adept. Due to setting traps in the jungle to stop invaders you became very careful with where you stepped, you gain advantage on all investigations for traps and you no longer set off traps.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice.
Mayan Priest[edit]
These Mayans devoted their time to learning religion and leading their people in the ways of their gods
Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma Score increases by 2
Blessed by the Sun. You can cast cure wounds or Mage armor twice per long rest without components
Mayan Warrior[edit]
These Mayans are followers of the Jaguar, ready to fight at any time showing no restraint, to fight with restraint would be to dishonor the opponent and dishonor oneself.
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength Score increases by 2
Blessed by the Jaguar. You channel the jaguar, becoming as fierce as the great beast to deliver a stinging attack. you gain "Primal Savagery" cantrip using your Wisdom for your spellcasting modifier
Mayan Astrologist[edit]
These Mayans are followers of the Stars and Skies, Geniuses who use mathematics to map out the cosmos and themselves
Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence Score increases by 2
Blessed by the Cosmos. The stars guide you and never lead you astray, you are never lost as long as the sky is above. you gain advantage on charisma, wisdom, and intelligence saving throws 3 times. a short rest resets this count back to 3.
