Man-at-Arms (5e Subclass)
Man-at-Arms[edit]
Fighter Subclass
Fighters who find their edge in combat by using many different weapons to deal with foes. Man at arms are warriors capable of using multiple weapons on the same combat, drawing and stowing swords and maces in between attacks to confound their opponents, quickly varying the combat distance, barraging their enemies with a flurry of weapons.
- Weapon Specialist
Starting at 3rd level, you gain Advantage on all Intelligence checks made in relation to weapons, such as analyzing weapon, identifying or fixing a weapon.
- Overflowing Strength.
Starting at 3rd level, you can use your Strength modifier, rather than Dexterity, for attacks and damage rolls with any weapons that lack the reload property.
In addition, your capacity to drag, carry and lift weight is doubled.
- Quick Draw
Also at 3rd level, you can swap weapons you wield in a blink of an eye. Whenever you draw a weapon, you can stow a weapon you are wielding, using the same Use an Object action.
In addition, whenever you take an additional Use an Object action, you can do it without taking an action, at a cost of 10 feet of your movement speed.
- Armed and Dangerous.
Starting at 7th level, your collection of weapons can make you intimidating to others. You gain proficiency in Intimidation, adding double your proficiency bonus if you are already proficient in the skill.
In addition, whenever you take the Attack action while wielding a weapon, you can replace any of your attacks by an Charisma (Intimidation) check. You also can use your Strength or Dexterity, rather than Charisma, for that check.
- Follow Through
At 10th level, whenever you hit the same target twice, using a different weapon with each attack on the same turn, you can force that creature to make a Strength saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier). On a failure save, the target is pushed 10 feet back.
- Master of Arms
Starting at 15th level, each time you hit an attack with a different weapon on the same turn, you gain an additional +1 damage on subsequent damage rolls against the same target, until the end of the turn.
- Thousand Blades
At 18th level, when you take the Attack action, you can choose to make 7 attacks, each one must use a different weapon. You cannot move or use bonus actions in the turn you use this ability.
Once you use this feature, you can't do it again until you finish a long rest.
