Malleasan Paragon[edit]

Malleasan Paragon give the Malleas race a more powerful set of abilities, and increase their effective abilities to even greater levels, giving them a distinct advantage that they already possessed an affinity for.

Making a Malleasan Paragon[edit]

Malleasan Paragons gain the ability to shift, and control their forms, making them often slippery and dangerous opponents, while also giving their ability to control their elemental gift a boost of power.

Abilities: Malleasan Paragons need a high Strength score to enjoy the benefits of combat that come with levels in Malleasan Paragon, and also benefit from a higher Intelligence score. Constitution, and Dexterity are also important, while Wisdom and Charisma may be somewhat left behind thanks to the little use of these abilities.

Class Features[edit]

The Malleasan Paragon gain greater control over their nature, and increase their ability to do damage through that progression. All of the following are class features of the Malleasan Paragon.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Malleasan Paragons have proficiency in Simple Weapons, Light Armor, and Shields.

Malleasan Shapeshift (Ex): Malleasan gain the ability to control their forms at will, in example, a Water Elemental Malleas may change themselves into a puddle of water. This ability functions as a Change Shape spell, save the Malleas may only change into a limited amount of shapes or forms dependant upon their elemental affinity. ((Author's Note: This should primarily be left up to the DM to determine whether this ability can function outside of combat.))

Modify Unarmed Attack: A Malleas may treat their Unarmed Attacks as if they were attacking with a weapon they are proficient in, retaining their racial unarmed dice in damage, but gaining any reach, or bonuses associated with the weapon they choose to mimic.

Projectile of Malleas (Su): A Malleasan Paragon of 2nd level may trade a use of their racial Touch, or Ranged Touch attack to cast a projectile spell that deals 2d4 of their relative elemental attribute in damage unerringly, as if by Magic Missile. This increases to 4d4 at 10th ECL, to 6d4 at 15th ECL, and to 8d4 at 20th ECL.

Elemental Surge (Su): Malleasan Paragons of 3rd level may trade a use of their racial Touch, or Ranged Touch attack to produce an explosion of their elemental affinity that deals equal die in damage ((Comparing to the Touch or Ranged Touch attack)) to all enemies within 25 feet of the Malleasan Paragon who fail their Reflex save VS. the Malleas' Touch Attack roll to each, a successful Reflex save halves damage. (This ability is subject to Evasion, and Improved Evasion.)

Combat: Combat-focused.

Advancement: Malleasan Paragons may advance into the Monk class to benefit best from their ability to do damage effectively even unarmed, or begin the trip into the Wizard or Sorceror class to further their ability to deal elemental damage. Malleasan Paragons are the beginning to a greater path, one that does not end with just two forks.
