Magic and Technology (Shekastkoré Supplement)
From D&D Wiki
Magic[edit]
- Most spells are the same as in any other D&D setting. The only difference is that Dwarves get Stone Magic as a starting feature no matter what. Levitate and Retrieve stone from level 1-5 and whatever you decide after that. Only every 5 levels do they get another stone spell.
Technology[edit]
- Apart from the humans/goblins/gnomes, Technology is heavily feared and rarely used. Magic is the prefered method. The dwarves have adopted some technology for their smithing and some of their other trade crafts. And the Halflings have adopted some of the finer technology for ease of living. The Humans however have completely industrialized and merged their machines with powerful magics. During the "Dark Days" the humans built giant war machines made of lead and that could wield terrible magics from within. They devastated the region of Virani and instilled fear into all the goodly races.
- The world is at an early steam punk level of technology at this point. After the war, the humans have felt no need to continue to advance their war technology, and to keep the people from having powerful equipment to revolt with, they've stopped most advances apart from using technology to increase life spans and replace body parts.
- Just use your head when setting the technology level. And if you have any questions about it message me through here. All of these things are just guidelines.
